Crumpe will be happy he can go down to his watering hole and drink with his Irish friends Its another step closer to more freedom ,but really it was a holiday for some ,and those who had essential services ,business as usual ,mind you it had a serious impact on those who could not trade ,and employees .. I guess with the budget on Thursday ,it was going to happen and may of been a softener for announcements to come to us poor hardy soles . Percy must be pleased i haven,t heard much from him lately ,i hope he did,not catch the virus

Oh i see the news where good old Winnie the pooh has handed out the racing industry 72.5 million of good old taxpayers money to prop the the place up .The Mrs is pleased that her horses have smiles on there faces lets go racing ,that grumpy old fart will now have to spend his hard earned pennies on more chaff . To me its a kick in the gut and to watch the gamblers spend up large when we have been all through such hard times and face a uncertain futures although we were classed a essential service doesnt mean there will be good times a head . Another issue is how this government is trying to rush through legislation over level 2 take good notice of how the prime minister is doing her best to get law changes that will effect us in our sport for a good period of time yet ,.thanks to the National party minister for intervening in the debating chamber ...

Yes But!! the racing industry is worth about 1.6 Billion dollars annually, there are a lot of ppl involved, 15000 direct employees, 60,000 connected industry employees, ..we sell a lot of horses overseas...and just because the tracks are empty these days compared to a couple of decades ago...doesnt mean folks arent using the tote..spending 72 million is horse feed compared to the 1,528000000 it keeps alive...

Great example of why Political funding must not continue through hidden Trusts; Return on investment Earlier this year, Radio New Zealand revealed that NZ First had received tens of thousands of dollars in secret donations from the racing industry. Secret donations are bad enough, but it was particularly stinky because Winston Peters is Minister of Racing. And yesterday, he paid them back, with $72.5 million in industry pork: Racing Minister Winston Peters has announced the Budget will include $72.5 million in emergency support for the racing industry. The package includes $50m for the Racing Industry Transition Agency, with $26m of that to pay its outstanding supplier bill, which Peters said it had not been able to do because of strangled revenue. Another $20m - from the Provincial Growth Fund - would go towards building two new all-weather synthetic racing tracks, initially planned for Awapuni in Manawatū and Riccarton Park in Christchurch. The remaining $2.5m would go to the Department of Internal Affairs to fast-track work on online gambling. That's one hell of a return on investment. norightturn.blogspot.com/2020/05/return-on-investment.html

The Virus was well out numbered by the amount of people traveling about to day It felt like the last day before xamas ,with the people even in garden shops and landscaping yards ,must of done the Jaffas so much harm during lockdown they were escaping in all directions . Businesses and retail must be happy with todays effort surely ,and Jacinda,s lynch mob were standing at the weigh bridge at Ruakaka trying there best to earn there wages ,.

I guess its going to the clubs with tracks to look after.

Like the one at Dargaville never gets used ,but the President gets payed a retainer for doing nothing , and Avondale how long since they ran a meeting i thought the face in the west would of sold it up for real estate by now But then Winnie is so kind to us older folk ,he relishes in the fact ,the old are worth keeping you always pay your taxes ,and thats what keeps the country going .,you know there is a method in his madness at times ... ,

i had to almost get the main sail unwrapped to day and take pity on poor old Phill Goff with his speech on how hard it was during Covid -19 Yes $120 million, now job losses ,expenditure cuts ,his hand bag looks deserted so where does it leave up grading parks and reserves ,lucky the springs got a new toilet block or someone may of got caught with there pants down and no where to go . And when you think the money has dried up ,well he is something else that is fast becoming a major concern for the Jaffas, yes its water and many local councils including Maori have expressed major concerns over obtaining it from the mighty Waikato .. I guess a request to Fudge and Snorkel for reducing the water in there swim hole at the zoo could be made by the Springs once everything kicks back into action ..

life goes on - JUST AWESOME - On (NZ) Thursday this week for the first time in about a decade man goes back to space, for up to four months blasting off in the incredibly powerful FALCON 9 Rocket which Donald Trump said was named after the Millennium FALCON in Star Wars. I just think Elon Musk drives a XC ute. There is an awesome free app that gives you a time table and incoming direction of satelites that are going overhead that are able to be viewed with the naked eye. It also gives a map of the planets and stars at your location. Just type in your location: james.darpinian.com/satellites/?fbclid=IwAR0fknLvZeI_JWKQ0r5Stf1Fkc6OFBcf9rIImAUawtXhhA7cvqAh3tNE-TYFor example, a line of 10 bright starlink satelites will fly over Kihikihi fast at 6.22am Wednesday morning, if you've seen a fleet of 36 Starlinks go zooming overhead at different speeds you'll know what I mean - it's out of this world and fun for kids of all ages. Off topic? nah, rockets, satelites, space, live stream video and holograms and speedway are all linked.

If capital gains tax was re introduced ,or a tax which there will be of some description to those more fortunate than others will we see a drop off in our sport ?/ It could mean that some promoters also dont carry on as the question is about rising taxes and the effects it will have ,even on personal tax levels increasing the 33cents in the dollar we now pay . Incorporated Societies that fall under this umbrella could also be hit like clubs as this borrowed money has to be paid back in some shape or form .There were some new rules printed in the beehive while covid 19 was at its peak and went unnoticed by some like asset testing , just be under 30,000k gross combined income you might slide under the gate ..
