another in the long line of murders by police happening in an ally country of ours. Should we just tolerate it
You mean the same way we tolerate kids being killed in this country? Another one in the last 10 days. I take it the march for the that kid will be ummm never? Ohhh yeah to look inwards at that sort of thing is just a bit uncomfortable for most.
If your not F*d off enough check out the pics of Bloomfield and Ardern hugging strangers and doing selfies. Most of which were taken in level 3.
So not only can a smelly rabble give the middle finger to NZ if it's organised by the prime ministers friends, but idol worship is allowed as long as the idol as either been approved by the state or is in fact Dear Leader herself. Team of 5 F*n Million my Arse. The hypocrisy is just astounding

I have kept quiet for awhile. I think the time has come to move to Level 1. Our numbers are good...I still stand by my belief that the lockdown was necessary...that is why we are looking good right now. Thanks everybody for doing your part...I know it has not been easy.
I have been talking with colleagues and we all agree the time is right to ease up on restrictions and see how this virus rolls. If we fail then we take some backward steps...hopefully it won`t be as bad as requiring a full lockdown again...but some back steps might be needed. That is a bridge we can cross if we get to it.
The protest saga was a cluster f***...no denying that. But in terms of the Police taking a soft approach...bloody smart move on their part! There was a reason they were protesting...no point giving them a reason to move beyond that.
It has been an interesting start to the year...I am actually intrigued to see how the remainder plays out.
They were supporting a protest not protesting it lol
2 different issues. The cops are vetted and trained, their job is to keep folks safe. there is a trust issue.
Parenthood is open to any dick who can find a place to plant his seed. Pardon the pun.
The police were called as there had been a complaint that GF had passed over a counterfeit note. They didn't just think "oh let's just arrest someone" They are there to serve the community, GF was suspected of trying to rip off a retailer. This started the avalanche of problems that resulted in GF's death. The fact he had heart problems and the autopsy found drugs in his system, contributed. His height worked against him, he was a head taller than the officers. When he fell (he wasn't pushed), the police restrained him by using their weight (2 or 3 of them)
He is heard to say "I can't breath", the officers response was "you're still talking"
At the end of the day, bad choices were made, just the officers made a bigger one.
Are you suggesting the officers shouldn't attend an incident if it involves an African American? Or only AA officers should attend?
Only you are saying they were marching for the frig of it.
What did it achieve, probably sweet F.A..thats not the point..we cant deny people their rights just because you dont like what they protest about. If white middle aged men above 6 ft tall were being killed in the US by the cops, I would have marched to bring the subject to a head, cause next time it might be me!!
They were supporting a protest not protesting it lol
They were protesting just for the frig of it.
WHAT did it achieve?
I don`t want to wade into this too much but you raise some valid points tank11.
The protesters here saw an opportunity to make their feelings known and ran with it. Do they truly care about George Floyd? You will all have your own views on this. I personally have my doubts.
Do African Americans living in the USA really need our support? They sure didn`t appreciate Taika`s support.
The protests / rioting in the USA will ultimately likely achieve nothing. History shows us that...Los Angeles 1992...Ferguson 2014. Not even Obama as President could change such deep seated issues that stem from the slavery days. These events unfolding in the USA aren`t just about Police brutality...they are about much much more. And that is why people protested here in New Zealand. We have our own deep seated issues...whether we like it or not. On face value it appears that Mondays protests achieved little...but how far are they prepared to run with this? The more this plays out in the USA the more the rest of the world follows.
I stated in my earlier post that I am intrigued to see how the remainder of 2020 plays out. This is one of those topics I will follow with interest.
The loving nature of innocent young people that loose there lives is quite staggering and also hard to comprehend. ,many times over . Prevention is at times is hard to detect as these youngsters hide in fear, that if it be known more reprisals to there welfare are not uncommon from those who cowardly administer it ,but are proud to show a brave face in the public arena as if nothing of such evil concerns is evident . Many such deaths could be prevented help is a phone call away ,but in many cases parents are good at detecting if there grand children or relatives or even children of there own are being miss treated by a family member . There seems more cases than ever before ,and with the way this economy is heading ,poverty, jobless ,depression are good symptoms of how this evil nature exists .
