In the May 18th issue p43 there is an article on a new circuit racing class BNT NZV8TA2 Championship.
Basically it is a class to replace the demise of the Falcon and Holdens.
Chassis designed and built by Howe Racing Enterprises USA and a McLaren Engineering built LS3 525 hp engine.
PBR is the exclusive NZ and Australia TA2 cars dealer and Eastern Automotive and Performance NZ importer , sales, spares and servicing.
Mustang, Camaro and Dodge Challenger bodies.
Driving these cars is phenomenal. The tyre grip , power equates to a single seater experience, 1250 kg, 525 hp, sticky tyres, light, fantastic brakes and ease of control is motor racing at its best says Manuell.
TA2 is the best performance in their price range.
As has been well documented in the past, the BNT series has had it's fair share of infighting.
Perhaps it's time for a turn key SNZ series of cars built to same specifications with different bodies to give variety, and keep costs down and the skill is in the driver not the budget.
Sure we have capable chassis builders in NZ , maybe need to source engine/ transmission overseas to lower cost.
Just food for thought.
