Now that Bruce can ensure Western Springs don't stop their competitors travelling it should be great, I've only seen midgets run at Palmy since they started to contract there & I can see why people reckon they are so good there. I think the teams would appreciate having a smooth track that doesn't damage their cars

While we're discussing Midgets are there dates yet for the coming season on the West Coast ?
Would be nice to have a schedule for the 20/21 season at Stratford, Wanganui, Palmy, Wellington and Harrisville.
And how about a visit to Hawkes Bay ?

The Midgets would be the hylite of the show ,leaving the dodgems to play hide and seek for the hot dog class . This will draw the critics and possible be larger than the bomb in Bierut ,but there is always a method in some ones madness enjoying the sport they enjoy and promoting the Springs is just that the pinnacle of such a great sport .. Know doubt Brendon Lucas will come out firing his musket ,but of course there will be more smoke the anything else ....

Midgets are growing in numbers with some top drivers, they'll be cool at teams and I'm sure they'll put on a top show for the big crowd. Live stream interview with 1NZ Minisprint driver of the year Shane Dewar about his upcoming Midget debut and his new car on Go Slideways TV facebook. Sorry, I can't do it on here yet, might be a way through You Tube, I'll find out. Karl McGill on debut last season, before the red & white graphics Go The Panthers I hope to learn a bit more about Midgets this week, like how come the exhaust pipes come out the top of Karl McGill's engine and on the Bottom of Duane Hickman's. I don't know much about engines. Go The Scrappers Tony Johnson also debuted last season at Palmy

Thanks Slide.
I'm a midget tragic and really enjoy following them around to different tracks.
Would be great to have a calendar of their meets ahead of the season.

Toyotas, Mopars, Fords and Chevys with dozens of variants between them.are any 100% NZ made? A while back Synergy had a V8 engine that a couple competitors used.my mate said some are a V8 cut in half. is that true? Certainly used to be, however modern engines are bespoke pieces designed solely for the class.Sorry for my ignorance.
