What do you think of the new points system? Personally I like it, altho it prob doesn't suit Bartosz, who is by far and away my fav rider. It looks like it could be a hard season for the likes of Antonio, who must surly be in his last year in the big time? Max Fricke is another who is finding things tough right now. Arton Luguta has made a good start, and I think the new points system will help him. Gate choices for semis and finals are very important as round two shows us.

Still not sure about the points system, but there is no doubt the most consistent riders are the front runners and the rider order would have been pretty much the same under the old system.

I think the points system is ok as it rewards consistency more than the old 3 track wonders. Some riders are seemingly struggling with this season and covid issues, like the speedway bubble. Woffy was really dissapointing at his home Polish track last week, the Russian Rocket looks in poor form, and as for Lindback the man is like a yoyo, on fire one race and nuts the next. The revelation at Wroclaw had to be the new Pole, Chuganov, be interesting to see how he goes at Gorzow.

I think Chuganov was the wild card for the first two rounds, Anders Thomsen is the wild card for the next two.

I look forward to seeing more of that bloke Gleb Chugunov. He certainly looks to have the goods, if he can just get his starts right consistently. Are Doyles days numbered? He seems to have fallen off the cliff fairly sharply since becoming champion. Im looking forward to the rest of this condensed season.

Not a Majik fan meself, but he's really hit form last few weeks, took out the Polish Championship this morning....looked hell good doing it as well. Awesome meeting....better racing than the GPs, and they been good so far. Wont be seeing Chuganov in anymore GPs this year...was just the track wildcard for the Wroclav meetings...still a junior...and actually Russian. Would like to see Bartoz bounce back on his home track...gotta admit to being a Gorzow tragic since 2010 lol. Thomsen might surprise a few. Looks pretty ungainly at times, but is a racer, fast bikes too.

Interesting situation regarding tires. Its been apparently found that the Anlas tire, as used by a cple of riders...notably Laguta and Janowoski...has been banned, at least for Gorzow. allegedly doesnt conform to FIM specs. Hope it wasn,t a case of Anlas doctoring tires for their riders. Being the series sponsor (Anlas), it looks a little suss.

Where did you see that? Nothing on the SGP site about it. Also Magic has recruited Greg Hancock's mechanic to his team who just happens to be a Wroclaw native as well.

it was on the sgp site for a while, then taken down. its also on sportofaktewy..forgive the spelling...i got it from someone who has direct contact with the FIM. Seems the tires tested soft after the event(s). Thats how i heard it anyways. Not taking it as gospel. thers also talk about it on the Britsh speedway forum...if your ever depressed enough to visit that sad site lol.

Well that was certainly one of the closest final races ever between Bartosz and Doyle. Good to see Woofy back racing hard, but why oh why is Lindback even in the series. Bring in one of 100 riders who will probably be more competitive. On a side note are the riders in a strict bubble or does Bartosz sleep in his own bed while the other 15 are in a hotel in Gorzow

No bubbles haha...except for the social norms like we are all doing...or supposed to be. Antonio is in cause he qualified, bit like how Kasperzak has qualified for next year..even though he's been woeful for Gorzow this year, still pulled out a big one in the Challenge. Yeah great final...thats what i like about the new scoring system. Gotta be good when it really matters, at the pointy end of the meeting. Lots hate it, but it shows that even if your'e seemingly down n out, it's still possible to come good..eg. Doyle. Tmmorrow morning gonna be really interesting, somehow dont think it will be a Bartosz benefit..hell start favourite of course, but others will have gained a bit of confidence.

Well thats the top 3 sorted unless one of them gets an injury. Going to be an interesting couple of meetings at Torun in 2 weekends time to decide the podium and also the automatic qualifiers next year at the other end of the top 8.

Looks like Bartosz title to lose....he goes well at Torun. Jeez him and Woffendin have had some awesome battles this year. With this format alot can change over the course of a cple of meetings, but yeah it would be a surprise to see anyone unsettle the current top boys. Pity its such a short deal this year, though gotta say i like the 2-day meetings, and sure as hell am not missing the temp tracks. Like to see Jack Holder get the widcard for Torun..not a fan..but he's been in hot form lately. Next year gonna hopefully see a few new faces, they're only taking the top 6 from this year...add in Kasprzak, Zagar and Oliver Berntzon from the Challenge, along with European champ Robert Lambert. Thats 10, so they got 5 permanent wildcards to pick.

Could they (or would they won't to) do a 20 or 22round season next year by doing the 2 night deal at 10 or 11 tracks?
How is the 2 night deal affecting other leagues around Europe given how many riders have qualify night a miss last session so they could race for their league teams on the Friday night.
I'm sure the only person who can beat Bartosz Zmarzlik to a second title is Bartosz himself. I still worry about his mindset when the pressure is on, but the battles this session between him, Woofy and Freddie have been something to watch. The quality at the bottom end of the pack tho has been fairly diabolical.

Doubt if it would be feasible money-wise to do that many rounds. They struggle to find tracks anyways, mainly due to the high fees inposed by the FIM. But also tough for the riders....they spend horrendous amounts on a GP campaign apparently, and the prisemoney is woefull, compared to what they can earn in league racing....especially Poland. This year , with no Brit league, or Danish top tier league, ther's really only Poland and Sweden, so not really had any affect.* Sweden rides mid-week, and the big Polish Exraliga meetings are mostly Sat/Sundays..with relatively short seasons. Would love to see them try some double-ups next year though. Way things are going with the Covid thing, next year might be a bit like this year has been. * Was thinking actually ...the other week Madsen, Freddie, Doylie.. were on the Podium at the GP. All Chestahowa riders...next day they had to ride at Lezno in there last round robin match. win or draw they'd make the playoffs. So they had those 3, EX GP rider Runa Holta, Some time hotshot, sometimes not Pawel Przedpelski, U-21 Polish champ Jakub Miskowiak...and got their bottys spanked, so maybe does affect the league stuff.
