Y'all know I'm a big fan of Bartosz but where do you experts think he is going to rank in the fullness of time against some of the greats?

Have followed his career since he started back in 2011. Was ...WOW.. even back then as a 15 yr old. Funnily enough, wasnt as flamboyant..riding wise.. than he is now, but a pure natural. My favaourite rider since those days....all things being equal, It's very possible he could go on to become the greatest of all time. his elder brother Pawel jr...pit boss these days.. was of the same pedigree, but injury ended his career early. Man this net scoring system actually made it tougher than otherwise would have been. Everything was on the line in that one semi-final, bottle there, or crash, woteva, prolly wouldn't be champ. But he rose to the occasion...awesome stuff.

I think maybe another year before a younger rider comes along. To draw a NZ comparison to the public in Poland's awareness of him he is still way behind Mr G, who would be the equivalent of Peter Blake while Bartosz would be the guy who currently skippers the Auckland to Waiheke ferry. Even Ivan Mauger is more well known at the present time.

Only rider who I can see that might come along is Damien Ratajczak. 15yrs....most probably be riding for Lezno next year. Kid's a bit special. Poles have a whole production line of good riders...bit like NZ rugby payers,...but many top out just short of the ultimate. Danes likewise. They can reach GP class, even capable of winning GPs, but to win the championship requires a bit more, to my way of thinking. Dont know if you watch much of the Extraliga etc, but good to see Mr G in some commentaries, looking fit and well, albeit obviously still wheelchair bound.

You might need to blow this up to read it properly EDIT: Seems they went and changed the dates on us.

weather looking pretty dodgy it appears..for both days. Can't say i'm a fan of this current SON format. 3-rider teams...2 seniors and a junior...plus the 4,3,2,0 pts scoring per heat. 7 team best pairs type of thing....much rather the proper World Cup deal. Still, lotta top riders on show though, so hope the rain stays away. Picking Poland...Zmarzlik,Wozniak, with Kubera outlassing the other juniors. Emil and Laguta{Artem} be strong...but there junior rider a bit unknown...the pesky poles seem to nick the best Russian jrs, marry em off to a local girl, so they can qualify as Poles for league purposes.....tongue stickin right thru the cheek on that one lol.

You mean the top speedway country in the world does to their neighbours what the top rugby team in the world does to their Pacific neighbours

Nah...NZ rugby is 10-times worse haha. Having said that, it works the other way as well. I remember the Tongan league team from the last world cup. 90% born in Sth Auckland, and when they went to Tonga for a training camp, there was only one player who had ever stepped on Tongan soil before. Similar, but not so much, some of the Samoan rugby teams over the years. But your right...we do poach a few from the islands. Saw another hotshot youngster on video yesterday,,15yrs...Wiktor Przyjemski..just missed the podium in an open meeting in Germany against a few good Danish jrs and Germans. Really impressive.
