Just wondering whatever happened to the speedwayads page? Does it still exist somewhere? Where do most of ya's prefer to advertise ya race cars when ya wanna sell? Heard a lot of comments from people who use trade me but complain about the ridiculous costs. Facebook marketplace just seems to be full of junk most of the time. Would like to hear ya thoughts and if a guy needs to develop something better solely for NZ racers. Thanks in advance. Cheers ... Flash

There is this one on facebook, but its not just dedicated to complete cars, or bikes, it includes parts, seats, wanted to buy, trailers etc.. Free to list. www.facebook.com/groups/201093040033578There's a bit of work maintaing a sale site like that, but possibly you could set one up just for complete competion cars and bikes. Without the parts for sale parts wanted bits, just cars and bikes. First thing I'd do is get the naming rights for your new site sponsored. It does cost time and money to maintain.

The Magor for sale site was really cool back in the day,you knew when cars were sold and what part of the country they went too.

The Magor for sale site was really cool back in the day,you knew when cars were sold and what part of the country they went too. That was a very big part of making the site successful, people were always looking to see what had sold and where too which also meant sellers were getting plenty of exposure.

Just wondering whatever happened to the speedwayads page? Does it still exist somewhere? I sold it on and the new owner automated it rather than put the time into running it as I had and it died. Yes it was time intensive but making sure each vehicle advertised was presented as well as was possible (info, layout and spelling etc) was an important aspect to the success of the site with many hundreds of sales. Having it attached to a reasonably popular general speedway site was a good grounding for it too. Whether it would get traction today against the ugly but free Facebook pages I dont know.

Well it's been a work in progress for nearly 2 years and we have finally gone live Thanks to those of you who provided suggestions and ideas which have all been included. look forward to assisting anyone who has race cars and transporters etc for sale. We do have a parts/accessories category in the wings but at this stage just want to concentrate on complete vehicles where possible. Check us out at www.motorsportsales.co.nz and please provide feedback (good or otherwise).

Good luck Flash
Just a note to say thanks again to Macgor, we sold and bought a bunch of different cars through his speedway ads section
And to second everyone’s comments, the “sold too” page was always the next one clicked after the buy or sell listings.
The. Of course copious hours on the discussion board 😂
Not as many hours these days given life, racing and perhaps less engagement from the audience but appreciate it none the less, still a daily check in for this punter
Great to see you back to slidey hope the health is improving
Cheers Still an observer
