Will be interesting to hear why, long way to tow a car to be excluded over something as trivial as that are you suggesting the penalty for any infraction of the rules should depend how far the competitor has come from? I would have thought it was a general observation, rather than a belief that the rules should not apply if you travel any distance to a race meeting.

There could be a multiple number of reasons why he was not in attendance ,know use jumping to conclusions until a official result comes to light ..

Not in the slightest, I am suggesting that the punishment does not fit the crime There will be actual on track infractions tonight that won’t cop anywhere near this punishment. The driver was on this board last night saying there wasn’t even a pit call, whether that is true or not it is obvious that it’s just an honest mistake. To do all that hard work then get removed for something like that is ridiculous in my view

Some work sites are no H&S induction you are not allowed on site H&S is brought up at driver's briefing altho its always the same stuff you still have to attend

To do all that hard work then get removed for something like that is ridiculous in my view I saw that. I really like the driver in question and his commitment is unquestioned. Akron I don't doubt he didn't hear the call up, everyone else must have found out it was on somehow. Regardless if we think the crime fits the punishment or not, it has been a long standing rule and the penalty (I'm guessing here) would be a fixed one?

Yeah understand all that, to avoid all this, was a 2nd call made, was there any effort made to walk probably no more than 100m to his pit bay, or could they have run it through with him for 5mins when the mistake was made. I understand rules are rules, but there will be many rules tonight not adhered too strictly to the letter of the slaw, I just feel there are better ways to deal with this issue than taking away a qualifying spot and I’m presuming not even giving him a shot at the repecharge either
