Tier 3 Final? 544R Henderson 86B Symes Confirmed that 1NZ & 15P excl from H2 results for not crossing the scales. They are both excluded from the meeting. Now four in total, with one other from Heat 2 and one for not attending drivers briefing. After all the years being around speedway racing you should know most of rules by now Barry lol. If don’t cross the scales only excluded from that race not the meeting

Star of the night undoubtedly was Corey Baker 45A for a series of brutal hits in the best pairs Tier Three races. Just like old times!!!!!!!! There were also a fair few bone rattlers in the HB Doors NZ Stockcar Champs third heat, one very reminiscent (the 99s William Hughes slaughtering of 16B Brett Loveridge to the turn four wall just four laps short of a possible title win for the home driver) of the Shane Penn v Brian Johnson hit at the pit gate in the Palmy Teams Champs about 20 years back. There were plenty of hits throughout the various Tiers of racing tonight and anyone claiming it to be a quiet meeting either was not watching the lower divisions or they will be never satisfied unless there is one red light activating hit every lap in every race. Along with the eye catching massive tonks to the walls there was a fair bit of tactical blocking along with quite a bit of the slow motion contests between drivers as well that had you glued to the action ignoring the fast cars flag racing.

Over some years there has been a few exclusions from titles and championships for this reason...failing to weigh after a race. The drivers are just wanting to get back to the pit area..theres lots going on and lots being said by lots of different people... Rotorua had a white board at the pit gate this year with the car numbers on it who had to weigh in post race and I think at least 2 SNZ people directing and gaining the attention of the drivers to go to the weigh bridge.. problem solved very easily.. A simple solution that is easily replicated..

Sorry Higgins, but I'd have to disagree with you there. Star of the night, in my opinion, would have to be a 17 year old in his first season of stockcar racing being in a run-off for 2NZ. His driving, in such esteemed company, was beyond his years. Congratulations, Karlin, for such a brilliant performance.

I agree totally with this it should be SNZ responsibility to direct the drivers, feel sorry for Luke Miers came from grid 27, he may not even have known he was 2nd. SNZ should also be randomly picking cars as well, be too easy for someone not in the running to be a touch overweight.

Yes, my gut feeling is this is a SNZ failure rather than a case of drivers attempting to evade the rule.

Or told via radio to report to weigh-in after the cool-down lap?

there are always at least three sides to every story. 1. what he said. 2. what he said. 3. what actually happened. if 3nz didnt protest, doesnt mean someone didnt.
