Even if he did protest, he is not in the wrong here. The car(s) that failed to turn up at the weighbridge is/are. I know I'd be pretty p!ssed if I had a fair bit of coin on a horse that was beaten by another horse whos jock then did other stuff before weighing in, wouldn't you? For Mitch to be getting abuse is not on in any way, shape or form

Unfortunately Mitch had the same BS last year, to do with the runoff. The other competitor was pinged and people ASSUMED it was because of a protest - which it wasn’t.
1NZ clearly made a mistake which the other competitors immediately noticed, so nothing wrong with ASKING an official if that meant 1NZ was excluded from the results, as would obviously have a big impact on heat 3 tactics!

I think looking at the 2 NZ champs meetings, it is clear that there needs to be a sit down at the end of the season and procedures put in place that is blanket across all tracks and helps out the drivers a bit, don’t need to babysit them but should be trying to help them wherever possible, especially if the fixes seem so relatively simple. We have seen 1 pro active club by all accounts with the Superstocks and one that wasn’t with the stockcars from what I can gather. 1 example is a drover or at briefing so he was tracked down, whereas at the other track there was nothing like that and he ended up being excluded. Same with the whiteboard solution for the weighbridge
I’d also be looking at rewriting the penalties, they seem far, far too excessive and extreme for me. Using the example of the weekend again, after all the money and hours spent getting the car ready, travelling to the champs, the hardest task of all in actually qualifying for the finals being completed, that for simply not hearing a pit radio call and making a briefing, he is excluded from the entire meeting, that is way over the top
