Aim to start final at 930-945pm. Then have a good presentation followed by top 3 teams/drivers/crew doing a few laps of track so crowd can show appreciation, and sing we love Harley robb 😂.

Wouldn't give up on the Midges just yet. Perhaps a bit of tweaking to the final grid setting would help plus try and get more track time for the class leading up to teams weekend.

There is a need to give teams time to fix cars, as well as a need to get rid of the hotdogs. I don't have any brite ideas for the best replacement though, maybe a hybrid class of racecar that runs on biogas made from old fish'n'chip oil that smells like takeaways and makes everyone hungry..., or mabee just me. Awesome couple of nights though, hope Scott Penn along with car make a speedy recovery, and a very popular win for the Rebels. BTW, I noticed a sign in front of the start/finish line that says 'kiss oil goodbye', which I thought was a bit odd for a major petrol head thing.

I see how yourself And Ramjam interact with each other many times over .. Maybe if you burnt the Midnight Oil a little longer the smell of something fishy would go away ..

Its always going to be difficult for a class to make an impression on a track not prepared for that class, & in front of a crowd not particularly sympathetic to that class - the risk you take. Why not then think outside of the box like good old fashioned dwarf tossing, & I don't mean the tossing that you would likely see at the Bunnythorpe Tavern, which would be wrong, I mean the sort of tossing where you throw the dwarf as far as you can, haven't seen that for a while. Mind you, in this day and age of health and safety we need to think about that, it can get a bit dangerous, they can scratch like buggary - it took me months to get rid of the infection last time I tried. Mabee they only do that in the flash joints, the places where they put those little umbrellas in you're drink, like Auckland..... Great family entertainment. Another possability, jousting. I got an absolute bargain, only paid $7500 for my jousting sticks, got him down from $1200 - dreamer. Haven't used them yet, but would love to give them a go.... Food for thought, BL

What would be awesome is a clear 15 minute window before the final where I could talk to some of the drivers/Managers etc, Malc and Stu could talk it up and we could get the hype going. Races were coming out quick and the opportunity to build up the tension isn't there!!

You could have Brendon Lucas and Big Al as guest speakers ,they are always looking through windows at scenes beyond there own belief

Races were coming out quick and the opportunity to build up the tension isn't there!! I don't think it needs any more hype, this is one of the few races of the year that comes out to a already hyped crowd. Any info about driver/car changes that needs to be given already is, and y'all do a great job of that. Anything else would just be the predictable "AWWW yeah, we're pleased to be here and the team had worked hard..." given we already have 30 mins of presentations straight after the race I think a 15 min build up to the final would have the opposite of the desired effect, in that it would stop the momentum that the meeting had so far built up. That's my reckons anyway

That's my reckons anyway Have to say I disagree with this, the Knoxville nationals typically has about an hour between the B and A mains where the hype is built ready for the big dance. So I'm not convinced that a support class is needed at all, I know when I pay to attend a Sprintcar show I'm not really interested in anything else, the best shows I've attended over the years either have no support (national open) or minimal support (the classic).
