So Auckland to Level 2 at 6am Sunday 7th, and they MAY go to level 1 "at the start of next weekend" ie Saturday 13th. Which would be too late for the scheduled qualifying night of Friday 12th.And too big a risk anyway for the Saturday/Sunday given level 1 is not a foregone conclusion. So looks like a re-schedule will be necessary. :-( gutted not a case all week and nothing showing up in the waste water.

Guess i may not be now. Would of loved a move to rotorua. Since they are team champs champions. A swap maybe for the world 240s next year been a better approach of to much to work up between clubs.

I don't like the chances of the Superstock king of the arena going ahead on that night now, which might be a good thing cause it was already a stupidly full race program that he had that night (it seems they never will learn), so I wouldn't be too concerned about missing that

will be good if they do, I can't recall them taking part before, Although Barry, Mintie, and Mr Macgor will no doubt prove me wrong.

Once Daylight Saving ends and the sun sets earlier, Palmerston North is not a great place to be a spectator; it gets flippin' cold, even for a well-insulated chap like myself.

My existing research does not extend that far so entirely possible there was a late withdrawal at some point.
Would be great to see them make an appearance.

I can’t remember the year exactly but Christchurch was entered and withdrew 48 hours before the event. They were replaced by a hastily assembled Waikato “B” team. May have been late 90s or early 2000s, my memory fails me. It may have been the year before Nelson attended for the first time.

Nelson first attended in 1996/97 which would put the year in question at 1995/96.
Looking at teams that year there was a NI Select side featuring Lance Ashton, Malcolm Bear, Barry Hunter and Craig Pearce. They lost to the Stratford Gladiators and under the knock-out format that was the end of their weekend (as a team). There were three Auckland teams that year, the All-Stars, Attackers and the AVD team. It would be the All-Stars vs AVD in the final that never happened as the AVD squad could not muster cars for the final. The 14 teams in attendance the most ever for the Teams Nationals.
The Huntly B team I reference above made a sole appearance in 1992/93, losing to the Gisborne Raiders and never raced again at the Teams Nationals. Gary Ellis & Steve Park were two of the teams drivers. Don't know who the other two are.

WP couldn't hold enough spectators to pay for 12 teams. My guess is that if HB is in one of the previously named teams is out. I think they we're very lucky the promotion is trying to run an 8 team format.
