The entry list should be made public in the next day or so, and the group draw will be made early next week. Sharp As Group has come on board as the naming rights sponsor, and it's going to be a fantastic weekend of Superstock racing at the Oval by the Ocean.

Bring it. My second NI Superstock Champs of the season hahahahaha Barry B I hope you'll find time to visit Mintie, Ramjam and myself in the commentary box over the weekend. Rumour has it that this will be the last time the Grumpy Old Gits get together for a championship, as Ramjam is retiring.

But while I'm definitely #4 on the "Grumpy" ladder (can't match you three), I'm probably #1 on the "Old Git" list.

Rumours also persist that a bloke by the name of GH, who usually has a large appendage strung around his neck, will be there too. He's been known to be grumpy on very rare occasions

The G in GH stands for "Grumpy" doesn't it? It'll be just like a visit to Rotorua!! Certainly looking forward to it. Making sure Rammers leaves, I mean, seeing him out in style!!!

I've got the gasoline ready. The sight of all them bridges burning will be spectacular. But seriously it's great entry list and I'm looking forward to an awesome event. As has been pointed out several times over the last 18 months, we are in a golden age of Superstock racing. We are truly lucky that we won't have to look back to know how good the current times are. We know we are in the middle of a great thing and we can appreciate it now.

We sure are in a golden age Rammers. The quality of Superstock racing over the last couple of seasons has been quite extraordinary, and I have to admit, even the "nude" cars are growing on me. The quality of engineering and presentation of vehicles is the best I can ever remember, and you have to wonder how much more evolution of the class is possible. It's a great time to be involved, even if my involvement is limited to talking about what's happening before my eyes!

Am planning to be there on one of the two nights. Presumably Friday night will see the cars split into three groups with three races each?

They can, and will, review that at any time. None of these troublesome young Aucklanders appears to have gone out of Auckland this time, so there's no reason for the rest of the country to stay at Level 2. I reckon that'll change by Wednesday, but it'd be pretty risky for the Wanga's club to rely on that. The Auckland and ChCh clubs will be worried about their dates the following weekend too. COVID obviously intends to celebrate its one year anniversary in style.

The WSSC Committee will meet today (some were racing elsewhere last night) and a decision will be made. We do have a rain date up our sleeve.
However today's Trev's Concrete Stockcar Shootout meeting at Oceanview has been postponed.

I've tidied up this thread and removed most of the political angst. This is the wrong forum for that kind of stuff. Keep it Speedway on here please.

COVID obviously intends to celebrate its one year anniversary in style. The 1pm session from the Podium of Truth was strongly suggestive that seven days is a MINIMUM Barry. I note the America's Cup has already been postponed until Wednesday 10th March, and that they will be seeking a dispensation to race at Alert Level Three. WSSC has a couple of dates up the sleeve for a postponed North Island Supers, 27 March, which was supposed to be our final night, and a rain date in April. Today's meeting was the first to be postponed this season, so there's still hope for this meeting, depending on what's on around the place later in March.
