They can, and will, review that at any time. None of these troublesome young Aucklanders appears to have gone out of Auckland this time, so there's no reason for the rest of the country to stay at Level 2. I reckon that'll change by Wednesday, but it'd be pretty risky for the Wanga's club to rely on that. The Auckland and ChCh clubs will be worried about their dates the following weekend too. COVID obviously intends to celebrate its one year anniversary in style. The 1pm session from the Podium of Truth was strongly suggestive that seven days is a MINIMUM Barry. I note the America's Cup has already been postponed until Wednesday 10th March, and that they will be seeking a dispensation to race at Alert Level Three. WSSC has a couple of dates up the sleeve for a postponed North Island Supers, 27 March, which was supposed to be our final night, and a rain date in April. Today's meeting was the first to be postponed this season, so there's still hope for this meeting, depending on what's on around the place later in March. I'd say 7 days will be an absolute minimum for Auckland, and while my prediction would be more like 2 weeks I certainly hope I am wrong. I suspect there are numerous new cases to be uncovered in the South and East Auckland areas before we see Level 2 again, let alone Level 1. As I said before I see no obvious reason for the rest of the country to not be returned to Level 1 within the week, although the likes of Coromandel are arguably in more danger now due to the amount of Aucklanders that fled the city last night. That's my gut feeling. However anybody betting on my gut being correct would be a fool Barry B

how can speedway nz allow these dates when a neighbouring track is running the same class, also it is their closing nite,so drivers will not be given dispensation to race elsewhere, good bye to 16+ entries. .

When would you like the title to run? Same weekend as Battle of the Stocks? Same weekend as Teams Nationals? Over Easter when any number of tracks are already running? In May? All drivers wanting to run the North Island title can do so provided they follow the rule book M4-7 Eligibility to Enter Allocated Titles M4-7-1 Every competitor has the right to enter Allocated Titles, subject to complying with the following conditions:- (i) Holding an SNZ competition licence for the applicable class (one day licences are not accepted). (ii) Submitting a completed entry form, by the due date. (iii) Paying the entry fee. (iv) Late Entries: At the discretion of the promoter, and if stated on the entry form, late entries can be accepted and a non-refundable fee of $50 can be charged. (v) Notifying their own Promoter of their intention to compete at least 14 days prior to the event. (vi) No trespass notice or ban has been imposed by the track hosting the allocated title

If I wa in charge at Stratford I'd turn it into my advantage and run a short punchy Sunday afternoon meeting of about 15 races. Being their last meeting I assume they want to race every class so Saturday night run adult ministocks, midgets (or mods), super saloons (if they can get numbers), Stockcars, streetstocks and minisprints. Then on the Sunday start at 1pm running Superstocks, stockcars, mods (or midgets) , limited saloons (as they still call them), and youth minis. Might make a few Stockcar drivers travel to race wanganui then stratty, give the Superstocks who want a run on Sunday on their way home from wanganui a run and pick up a few fans travelling home. Start at 1pm. 5 classes x3 races + a Superstock feature of ya want makes 16 races. Finish at 4pm and ppl can still get home at a reasonable time even with a 4 or 5 he drive. They could work in with wanganui to maybe give the minisprints or midgets a run on Friday there and stratty on Saturday. It just takes a bit of thinking outside the box and making a large Martini when life gives you lemons

I see Stratford is now running the John and Gary Adamson Memorials this Saturday night, so Stratford cars can race at the rescheduled NI Superstocks; a good, pragmatic decision.
