An absolutely amazing final, all 15 laps of it, that had the crowd on their feet. 19 teams races over two nights and hardly a dud among them. Plenty of upsets, and plenty of action and drama. Best Teams Nationals for years and years. Thank you team.

Yep a very enjoyable two nights of Superstock teams racing and congratulations to the Palmerston North Panthers,my two drivers of the weekend were Jack Miers and Malcolm Read from the Glen Eagles, they did some awesome blocking for their teams.

Nevermind, 4 cars on the grid for Stratford! Unknown who is driving the 28S I think it was incorrect re the Uhlenberg stand down. So he was in 28s. However 32s Mark Duthie was a "bit sore" after previous race, allowing them to bring in 6th driver Scott Tennant. And so he came out in 82s, as Hamish booker got the 8 day stand down previous night. Follow?? :-) But wow what a race against the panthers. Cars were absolutely trashed, but they kept going. Hayden Barker spectacularly got through 3 panthers in a group while leading couple laps out.

Well done palmy very deserved winners. And to stratford. Huge result. They have some young guys coming through and will be at the top of there game in a coupple of years me feels.
Very awesome championship but with some lessons to be learnt in the name of fairness. Hope they take that on board and learn from in going forward.

As many of you have no doubt picked up I'm fairly passionate about the Superstock Teams Nationals. It is the jewel in the crown of the Waikaraka Park season and historically has produced it's own unique atmosphere. Since the grandstand issues the event has never been the same and in some years the level of promotion has not matched the status this event deserves.
This past weekend I was just about in speedway seventh heaven. Was there a bad race all weekend? Maybe the Midget feature on night one but that was as much about the track as anything else and to be expected when you have multiple rain showers in a night. Programming of the classes was top notch. Great to see 20+ cars for the Superstock consolation and the Modifieds really added something to the second night. How unlucky was Luke Brown in the Auckland title? Had just passed Jackson to take a one point lead only to see a yellow. Resuming position behind Jackson he could not make a winning move, finishing one point behind Jackson in a three-way tie for second only to draw grid three for the run-off and finish off the podium.
The Panthers were deserving winners, the only undefeated team all weekend. Joblin superb in the semi-final, Miers outstanding across the weekend but for me it was the surprise package David Lowe who was their best. It wasn't just his performance in the final, he was excellent blocking when required and ran without fear. Almost ran down Joblin for the semi-final win prior to his final heroics. Stratford came to the party in a final for the ages. Having been beaten by the Mustangs on night one and just about losing to the All-Stars despite a 4 on 2 advantage, it was looking like a mismatch. But man did they step up when it mattered despite losing a driver on night one.
Plenty of other moments across the weekend. How about the All-Stars taking down the Giants? Lonergan in a borrowed car just making it across the line under intense attack. Hagen for the Hawkeyes on night one coming up just short after a great run. The numerous rollovers who landed on their wheels to keep on going. The big hit from Harley Robb in the 3rd vs 4th matchup. Thankfully the action outshone a chequered flag issue in the final and the situation with a concussed driver on night one.
For their part the promotion in advance of the event was the best it has been for years. Stu Russell was an inspired choice as commentator. He understands what fans need during and after races, keeping us informed. Some of the information he was fed proved to be incorrect but that is not the fault of the commentary team.
Long live the Teams Nationals - the friendly Teams Champs

Well said Percy, was great to see, in particular the Wanganui and Rotorua cars return to race on the second night. Hope we see the Wanganui team return in the future, they represented their club well and until the Palmy cars came out for the final I thought they might take home a bonus 2 grand.

Only 3 S cars for the final. 28S excluded from the meeting Is it the 28s car and driver or just the driver? In that case could the 6th driver use the car? No because the driver wasn’t injured

Long live the Teams Nationals - the friendly Teams Champs so there was a chequered flag issue in the final, wind back 25 years where the stratford gladiators beat the auckland mendent team in the semi final, only to have it taken off them as 39s greg johnson was in front at the flag, but ran 1 to many laps so they went back a lap, in which auckland was in front. Onto the final and the auckland mendent team couldn,t field a team against the auckland all-stars, so they raced a demonstration final in which gladiators won. WTF. de ja blu p.s the all stars were given the title.

Is the team mentioned the AVD team. Was at that meeting, why protest if not able to compete. Any way 021 now. To bring a bit of cheer Roxcyford, a photo of think the only time the 2 Stratford teams faced each other, Gladiators vs Scrappers, Year? WP. Use your memory bank of Naki knowledge and name the drivers of ea team. No prize.

Long live the Teams Nationals - the friendly Teams Champs Thanks for that percy, certainly means alot! Also a big thanks for the info you posted about each team in the build up to the event. Unsure if you heard the thanks over the system each night but really appreciated it and came in handy to fill in some dead air. Unfortunate to be given that information about the 3 car Scrappers team for the final but these things happen, it was a bloody reliable source to haha. Really enjoyed my first crack at Waikaraka and working with Hans for the first time I thought we done well. Can't wait to get back for the NZ Stockcars & Teams Nats next season
