Going on sale Friday 2nd July, I for one won't be forking out $103 plus costs and fees per night, thank you very much Mr Robertson and all those responsible for such an outrageous cost! I am a pensioner who has struggled over the past six champs to find the money to enjoy this amazing event in the comfort of the grandstand However, for me at least, this event has now priced itself off the market. As expected, there is no special pricing for Gold Card holders, as is the case for all events at this venue. I won't be supporting speedway at this venue again, unless the promotors see fit to change their policy concerning pricing for Gold Card holders, many of whom (including myself) have been going to numerous events season after season. I would rather go to Rotorua or Te Marua where we Gold Card holders are acknowledged and appreciated for our support thank you.

I still feel its undervalued based off demand. Its a supply and demand issue which is driving up price. Because you get value for money. There is a reason your annoyed a d that's you want to go. Until the vast majority can't afford it up it goes.

Well, the live stream certainly is never undervalued.

And they only go to this event because it is the best on the calendar! Price is only dictated by demand and it sells out every year so up the price goes until it dosent sell out!

At a hundred bucks or so for probably the premier event on the speedway calendar it has to still be great value. I pay way more than that to sit in the stand and watch the all blacks.

My thoughts exactly. I'm spending $100 for the cheapest possible adult ticket to the All Blacks game in Wellington that will last 80 minutes. $103 for the 'best' seat in the house for 3+ hours of entertainment sounds pretty good to me!

Its well worth it. Even if you've never been to speedway before and aren't a devoted fan, you'll still leave feeling that you've had great value for money.

It is not a cheap experience, (i agree) but I still believe it is the best meeting of the season. Action and atmosphere is amazing. At this stage I am lucky enough to be able to afford it, even as costs increase (as it seems 17,000 other people are also able to do). It is a victim of its own success. Bruce will continue to put the prices up as long as the tickets sell.
As per my rant every year I would love more money go to the teams to appear and prize money. We know this event sets Bruce up to run other meets as a loss. Looking at the crowds at normal meets I am sure he doesn't break even. However this two day meet is gold for Bruce.
Long may it continue. Last few years have been golden with team numbers.
Superstocks in general are going through a nice purple patch despite the doom and gloomers suggesting there will be financial issues due to COVID etc.
Travelling from Tauranga for it every year, means tickets are the least expensive of my outlay.

My sympathy goes to all the pensioners that just honestly cant stretch there budgets no more to enjoy a sport they have followed ,longer maybe than those who can afford the price . Some are war vets or given a great part of there lives to make this country safe from others and worked hard . There is simply to much greed and negative thinking by a certain few in this country And to back my claim on the matter look at the turn outs at Anzac morning dawn parade it called respect Midway Rocks

Yes it is on the upper scale of pricing and many of us diehard speedway fans can't afford it but with live streaming options and tv coverage at least these options while not the same as being there are available ,as is it's little sister meeting, Teams Nationals at WP. The P/N council and ratepayers have invested heavily in the upgrading of the showgrounds and it is only fair the users of the facility pay towards the cost. At least Bruce has the decency to stay put after the huge council spend up not like the ungrateful sailors based in the Super City. Bruce has to make hay while the sun shines, hope there is charging stations around the stadium so the EV vehicles can recharge while their owners are watching the No 1 teams event in NZ.

You make it sound like its the council in Palmy that won't allow gold card prices Pretty sure BP is council-owned and they do Senior's pricing. Almost every year at this event the punters get tested to see if they will keep paying the increased price, it's just greed. Normal club night prices haven't been going up every year at the same venue.

This is simply a case of supply and demand dictating pricing. Bruce is running a business not a charity. If he needed to attract the senior audience to get bums on seats I am sure he would consider a concession.
