8P will be 8K 88P will be 88K 888P will be 888K 808A will be 808K Good thread 888hsv. Any sources for the above four? The teaser graphic on the Miers Motorsport page has their three cars as "P" still. And the Tennant family appear to hold the Vice President (Dave), Secretary and Stockcar rep (Ailsa) positions at Waikaraka, but of course that didn't stop 717H becoming 717A......

16R Saloon and Super Saloon are now 16C ( Source: Osborne Racing) Then there are the track changes that will need to occur because of the 5 meeting rule creating some orphans: - 8S Super Saloon becomes ? - 79S Super Saloon becomes ? - 12K Streetstock becomes ? - 21K Streetstock becomes ? - 35K TQ becomes ? (almost certainly 35R) - 56K TQ becomes ? - 33K Minisprint becomes ? - 28V Modified becomes ? - 17H Sprintcar becomes ? - 37H Sprintcar becomes ? - 21D Midget becomes ?

How does it work in regards to a class like supersaloons or what not. Does this mean every supersaloon with now have to be enither a,m,b or c,d,t? What does it mean for smaller tracks like wanguni or kihi kihi. Does the baypark lose its super stocks and gisbourne?

You can see that in effect in the Rotorua, Kihikihi, and Palmerston North calendars - where classes they ran slightly more spasmodically historically are listed at least 5 times. I suspect competitor focussed club nights will become more frequent in-order to meet the requirement.

If palmy keep current calender they will lose saloons, super saloons and streetstocks registered to palmy. Rules that are set to stop something almost always come with way more unintended consequences than people realize that do more harm than good. And are enforced by somebody that is said to gain the most. I'll be watching this one with interest. But for now still the one I hate the most is run offs can't stop and flat outside tyres.

The current Palmerston North calendar has Saloons racing 6 times and Super Saloons racing 4 times from what I can see. I'll go out on a limb and suggest Super Saloons will be added to another show to make five meetings. So Palmerston North will no lose Saloons, nor Super Saloons as stated.
They do however have Streetstocks just twice on the schedule so it would appear the track is not contracting Streetstocks this season. Though not a fan of having drivers contract to a track, given that is the way our sport operates I think the five meeting rule is fair enough.

Do rain outs still count as a meeting? If a track runs super saloons 3x and their other 2 meets featuring the class get rained out or canceled for any reason (covid for eg), are they deemed to have run 5x? Just a couple of supplementary questions... How many tracks outside A, V, P, C & I run 5 sidecar meets a seaon? Can a track that doesn't contact a class still get them added to their track licence so they can run a couple of times a year?

So many different cars mentioned in your thread Beachboy I’ve lost track of which ones you might be meaning. Did Scotty end up racing last year at all? I think the Hodge boys raced both his cars last year? Was awesome seeing one of them win a race at Rotorua in the tank
