Jamie Larsen Racing: "Announcement 2 of 2! When the family decided to step back from running the race team, I thought the door on sprint car racing for me had closed however… I am excited and grateful to announce that after being approached by Mark Alexander, he has provided me the opportunity to continue sprint car racing!! Mark is pulling out all the stops and is providing a brand new Spike chassis powered by a Maxwill 410 engine and will be running as 82 contracting to Western Springs this season. Darryl Claydon of Fast Times Racing will be returning as my crew chief and is busy building the car. We have a great team coming together and are looking forward to the race season. There may be a few meetings that clash with the 4WD expeditions, but the plan is to be at as many meetings in the North Island. I will be returning to one of my favourite tracks, Ruapuna for the New Zealand Sprint Car Title in February and then back again in April for the Gold Cup/Salute to Goodie doubleheader. Manawatu champs/Harrisville weekend is also on the schedule! Once all the dates are confirmed for the season, I will post our limited schedule. I am still after some sponsors in order to be able to expand the race schedule, so if you are interested in supporting the team, big or small, please contact me and I will send you a proposal. www.facebook.com/jamielarsenmotorsportsLooking forward to seeing you trackside!"

Indeed good news. Way too talented to be on the sidelines. Our best in my opinion.

At last some good news to relieve the misery of lockdown. I am so glad Jamie is able to continue racing and with a competitive car and crew. Something to look forward to.

Great news. Too good a talent to not be racing. We do not have enough top talent in the class to be able to afford losing someone that good.
Great to see he is doing the Ruapuna dates, he goes great down there.
