Was a great innovator interms of chassis development, more so when it came to New Zealand built chassis during the 80s and into the 90s.
I can remember the days of Ted Tracey running the Alach Pontiac chassis.
The battel between Tracy and the Harris Cosworth of Brett Horrobin was something I can remember foundly. Of course who cannot forgot the Ray Alach Barry B driven cars.
I can remember listening to an interview of Barry B in the 80s on the radio and if i am not mistaken, I think Barry mentioned that his sprintcar was a Ray Alach copied Gambler chassis.
My condolences to Rays family.
