Unfortunately while we have law breakers and border breaches the chance of speedway for 21/22 in Auckland get slimmer by the day.

Baypark is still a go by their Facebook and Web page for Labour Weekend, Refer: www.facebook.com/bayparkspeedway/Baypark Practice Cancelled. Our practices scheduled at Baypark Speedway for Saturday 16th October have been cancelled. We have been advised by Bay Venues Limited that Baypark is not available for any speedway activity until Labour Weekend due to the requirements of the District Health Board for their vaccination programme. Our scheduled practice day coincided with the Ministry of Health ‘Super Saturday’ nationwide vaccination push, and Baypark will continue to be in use as a vaccination centre through out the day and into the evening.

Looking at the weather forcast for Saturday the weather looks rubbish anyway in Auckland so makes me a little bit happier lol It takes very small things to make us happy in Auckland these days. Rain meaning speedway cannot run, I find myself looking forward to my regular blood tests now, how times have changed Barry B

The place in my suburb has closed until level 2 Lab tests in Carbine Road, Mt Wellington. They're open at all levels, so long as you can get past security on the door by answering all of the questions correctly. Barry B

Where do you go for a blood test? The place in my suburb has closed until level 2 Lab tests in Carbine Road, Mt Wellington. They're open at all levels, so long as you can get past security on the door by answering all of the questions correctly. Barry B Hey - what is this? Wasn't the 'Level 2!!" Covid thread recently shut down by a moderator because it... "deviated from anything to do with speedway". Now we have a moderator advising where to get blood tests! For as long as I can remember a common moderator enforcement policy here has always been to stay within the narrow speedway only related issues and to .."STAY ON TOPIC!". So do I object to Barry B advising were to get blood test. Absolutely not. In this bizarre "NEW NORMAL', Covid 19 has changed everything. And will continue to do so for a long time I suspect. I suggest that under the circumstances the forum rules be broadened so as to be able to freely discuss Covid related issues. As a suggestion this could be facilitated by way of a separate Covid Board, along with some extra conditions that any potentially prickly Covid related topics like "all anti vaxers are holding us to ransom" be backup up by a link to some independent research or credible source.

It is a true blessing to see one person helping another in these difficult times during the Covid crisis Auckland is facing ,that is the true spirit of speedway folk Now I understand that Phill B from a very good reliable source i have in wellington ,is taking Judith too the opening meeting of the speedway down there this weekend ...they both got sloshed to the eye balls in the cossie club hoping they dont crash into the traffic lights along the way ..causing and creating chaos amongst others sitting patiently for a 90% fix ..he also could be stripped to his under pants like Mr Tamiti was for un kindly words along the journey ... Another of Phill B,s so called friends from yes the same Cossie club ,has already seen the green light and vacated for the weekend to a private retreat just north of the city ,i wish him well ... I guess the Magpies will enjoy the peace and quiet of Waikaraka park till racing commences when ever that will happen sadly is anyones guess ... Keep Smiling and Grumpe mow the lawns at the park its your speedway fix for the season
