Barry a rigged draw hasn't happened for many years. But it's been a long time since we have had a fair draw where it hasn't been manipulated to the panthers bennifit. Last time they missed the semis was 2016 (I think) also 12 teams. For a team that hasn't really made many finals does question it. Bruce doesn't care about fair unfortunately. And 12 teams seems to be the only fair format Bruce has. Sigh.

I think that is an excellent draw. In my mind nine teams could win without it being an upset. Teams are so even now days. At Huntly early in the season the winners of the Palmy teams and the teams Nationals raced for last place yet could have been racing for the win without any upsets along the way. Some very good teams are going to miss out on night two if the format is the same as previous years. I would like to see the bottom four teams compete for a bowl like the rugby sevens do.

I hear ya, anything that gives us punters more teams races is an excellent idea.

I think the idea of doing cup and plate is brilliant. They all out a lot on the line in thier races for thier tracks and gives them some 2nd tier to race for. Also more good racing for the fans.

And as for all this talk if rigged draws... It's done live, it can't be rigged OR manipulated, the Main officials are NOT FROM THE TRACK but SPEEDWAY NZ

The Panthers only advantage is it's thier home track! We have some brilliant stable drivers with some very good young drivers joining the ranks. Suffered recently with injuries.

Instead of a nice fair playing field for all teams. He has made decisions with the panthers best intentions at heart. Like the coin toss a few years back with the Hawke eyes. He could always run 4 groups on qualifying night. But doing such a thing would put the panthers at a disadvantage due to there failure to make the podium. So he's against that idea. Ain't nothing wrong with the draw. That's done fair. The format however is a different story however but such is life.

I'd say that for the people who think the draw is rigged for the panthers
After this year's draw the panthers have chch QST up and then a shirt turnaround to a fresh scrappers
