So with Palmy Teams now less than a week away, then Auckland Teams won’t be far behind!
So according to Waikaraka website it’s a one nighter on 7th May, with a 5pm start,
Be interesting to hear who is entered, and how quick Teams/drivers/cars can get turned around from Palmy.

4 teams seems a bit light, so I flicked Bruce (the 'Boss') a text.
He expects at least 6 teams, and will canvass for as many more as possible, post the 'Palmy smashing.
Once those teams that can, commit to the Jafa (sorry Auckland) event, they will be "made known".
So hopefully not too many written off cars, damaged bodies etc this weekend.

How much damage and injuries will come out of palmy? Could be any number depending on damage and injuries and squad depth.

It is however early days and these tragic events take time to deal with. Given the emotional challenges and pressures everyone has been under with stop start seasons and covid disruption and the tragic loss I am not surprised that everyone’s ready to wrap up this season to try and recover emotionally, physically and financially. There will be more teams racing in the future and as always we as drivers will focus heavily on safety gear and tactics and do our best for our whanau, provinces, sponsors and the fans out there. Let’s take some time before any judgements. Cheers

Not surprising,I feel what i saw on Saturday night at Palmerston is the last time I will see that kind of Superstock teams racing 🙁 It’s very sad for all family and friends, no doubt horrific. BUT nothing has changed the risk is the same as week before. Danger lurks in the shadows of race tracks; always has, always will. Wifes (or husbands) know and have accept this; kids will realise when they old enough. My wife refuses to be nearby when I start to gear up and climb in. It’s obvious at that point we’re possibly playing for keeps. She knows I’ve done all I can; far far more than required, but I’ve made that decision and she accepted it when got together. I’d imagine only a tiny percentage of tracks haven’t taken a life. Anybody who has second thoughts now; or simply spooked probably never thought things through before; and shouldn’t have been racing.. It won’t make it any easier, and big condolences. .
