Auckland Alleycats Update; Just a update on our Alleycats. Peter Barry Teams Champs is going ahead so we are sending a team. 13-14th May 2022. Due to Motor, Stockcar Sale, Covid-19 and number of issues that have come around in the last 2 months have lead us to be a bit short on our team boys. This does not hold us back, as we have many drivers that we can call upon to fulfill our Alleycats Team. The Team will be announced this weekend. DNA and Associates are one of our Alleycats Team Sponsor. He will be posting a link on this page. Every person who click onto his link and likes his page will lead to travel sponsorship for our boys to get to Meeanee. It would be great to see any supporters down in Hawkes Bay if you are free to support our boys.

To soon, surely we need to let this season be finished. I bet if you talk to anyone injured or worse that has teams raced I bet they would all say if something happens just carry on and get back into it, sounds harsh but we all know the risks involved in our sport and accept it when we hop in the car, yes we don't expect to get get hurt but it dose and can happen. To much cotton wool in this world now days

I think gratitude is part of grieving. Being grateful for being able to maintain routines is healthy - that includes continuing on with speedway meetings. Gratitude on a daily basis can help refocus our lives in a positive way. Telling people what they can or can't do to move through grief is not healthy. I'm looking forward to Peter Barry stockcar teams.

I cacan'go. But should it be the Barry Penn team xhmsps. Or am I wrong to throw that around Ideas are good, but not this oneβ¬οΈ Peter Barry was a derby and Stockcar specialist. Not a flag racer as such, more blocker and general menace In a time when Peter Rees was making a name for himself, so was PB.

I remember watching Peter a few times thinking wow this guy is a true Stockcar driver and will follow his racing, wasn't at palmy on the sad night but still remember the few times I saw him race like the NZ Stockcar Championship at Te Marua speedway ππ

A gentle reminder for those coming to Meeanee this weekend for the Peter Barry Memorial Teams Racing. It has been somewhat grey and chilly these last few days so please make sure you bring lots of warm clothing with you. Fortunately the sunshine is expected to return in time for the racing on both Friday and Saturday but with expected temperatures of around about 17 or 18 if the forecast is to be believed. Be warned that once the sun goes down it gets challengingly chilly in the Bay in winter and you will need a decent thick and warm jacket to be comfortable to watch what should be exciting teams racing. You may want to consider a warm cap or hat (or even a beanie) with sun visor to keep the setting sun out of your eyes. Final reminder that racing gets underway at 4.00pm (with the finishing time easily before 8.00pm all going to plan) both days so make sure you get to the track in plenty of time to ensure you are not stuck in the queue to get in and avoid the possibility of missing out on any racing! If you can't make it all is not lost, try here to live stream the meeting www.kiwimotorsportmedia.co.nz/

Whats the seating like? Never been to the track before Each straight is lined with stands around 5 rows high. Small embankment behind turns one & two. Wherever you sit one thing is for sure. You're close to the action at Meeanee!
