who is the reported retiring A driver ,may i ask ?? Steve Williams I guess Last regular run at Waikaraka. He will run in the Rotorua fundraiser in Dec, and I would never bet against him doing the odd fundraising drives elsewhere. He came third in his Saloon last Sat, so has certainly still got the skills. Steve will be missed. He has done a lot for the Saloon class. Much more than most realise. How many of you are aware he is the Patron of SNZ. www.speedway.co.nz/ABOUT/SNZ-PATRONAlso, those that were in the crowd last Sat would have heard Steve commentate his first Saloon race. Since we did an AvBvC format, we were able to get him up in the commentary box for the first heat. The Saloons also give him a great send off by letting him lead a 3 wide salute to the crowd. Thank you Steve for all you have done for the Saloon class.

With that line up of super saloons, plus midgets ,stockcars butcher picnic, six shooters and streetstocks on the program should be a good meeting to farewell the season.

How is the park looking for the greatest show of the season .. Will the weather hold or is the dampness going to be to much And is it safe to venture with all the drive by shootings taken place ,one or two suspects from the west part of town often are seen in the place ...

Your answers 1 - Track is looking great 2 - Weather has been better than last week - so track should be awesome as usual 3 - Are you referring to yourself as one of the suspects? There have been no houses shot up near Onehunga - as far as I am aware. They have been on the other side of the harbour.

Drivers list's??? Is it just me or is it all of Bruce's tracks that are the worst at putting out drivers list's, most other tracks around have list's up by weds of a race weekend, how are we ment to get excited and make a decision to go I'f don't know competitor numbers for a start. Super saloons excluded from this rant as they and John are pretty good at keeping people informed

We westys are a peace lovin bunch of old surfys and speedway folk . The problem is the folk who ride in from other parts to shoot up the west.
