Without saying what you've heard, it's a bit difficult to say.

I more want to know if anyone else has heard about any big changes or I will take the rumor I have heard as just that another rumor.

New water truck perhaps?? All of the water from any passing clouds to be directed straight into the water truck, this giving more water available for the track surface and NO rain outs. Barry B

I heard that the coming season is to be the last with internal combustion engines, after that it's all electric. And because of the direction electric engines spin, they're going to have to run the races clockwise. Of course, that could be just a rumour....

In hindsight bro I would have gone to the source and checked this one out first then come onto this forum. What your post has raised though is the issue of how to raise future leaders to take over roles. I'm sure this discussion has and is happening at Rotorua and is discussed in all group forums. It's a healthy one to have. There are a few qualities I've noticed about Sonja's leadership that stand out: 1. Delegation. Giving people the opportunity to manage an entire job and delegating specific parts of the job 2. Excellent communication skills. Sonja coming onto this forum at the right time was great. Most promoters wouldn't be seen on MacGors but she realizes the significance of relating to a group of speedway enthusiasts. 3. Servant leader. She comes across as a servant leader - putting people first by making the lives of others in speedway better.
There are fantastic leaders in the speedway community- many whom come onto this board. Ultimately the fruit of leadership is a happy, healthy & vibrant speedway community. Any other thoughts on leadership qualities of a healthy leader?

Effective, efficicient team leadership necessitates man (or to be woke-correct, person)-management. Every individual under a team leader has their own personality traits, temperament, abilities, strengths and weaknesses, etc, etc. One may need encouraging, another nurturing, another a stern word, to get the best out of each team member. Recognising and actioning accordingly makes for a fruitful, successful team of people wo will go above & beyond knowing that their efforts are appreciated and rewarded.
