This year, thanks to raw material shortages, freight costs and the seriously declining NZ dollar when compared to the $US, there's been a significant increase in the cost for fuel, tyres and associated expenses; so much so that unfortunately, some cars will be left in their sheds this season. As an example, a quick calculation from Saturday revealed that the Mod burned $6 worth of fuel for every lap it raced.
The assistance of sponsors has always been important to the drivers and this year for them, it can be the difference between racing and not. You'll see the sponsors names on the cars and their individual Facebook and Web pages. Wherever you can, please support these sponsors and when you do, let them know why you're choosing to; any payback they can get for their generosity helps all involved.

There comes a time where you have to live in reality and next year wont be much different ,and predictions may be worse as interest rates steadily increase ,i suspect the DOLLAR may slump further . I have always tried to look after those who have looked after our business ,but with ever changing costs that i am afraid is not now the case . The next time you see Danny his beer may taste the same ,but the bottle may have a different brand ...
