The weather gods may be over their little tiff with Kihikihi, with the forecast improving for attempt two of their 2022/2023 season opener. I see full entry lists are on their website for those pondering going. www.kihikihispeedway.co.nz/page/event-2/As is often the case when two events merge into one, the programme is a little err over extended. But plenty of positives to take from it all: - Large number of Kihikihi competitors across all classes - A real alphabet soup of support covering A, H, R, M, S, V, G, B, P, and C. - Despite the clash with Western Springs there are strong fields assembled for the Midgets and Sprintcars. It would have been completely unthinkable for this to be possible a decade ago.

I think yes. Not sure on kihi kihi track licence. But run then twice before start time and once at the end of the meeting but before run offs if required. As they are local competitors I do t see any harm giving them a run a pre show after show track time. Seat time. To show your support to them :-)

The massive crowd there probably shows otherwise, If was to expensive it would have been half empty

I suspect it was a little extra for the fireworks. As said it didn’t seem to deter anyone judging by the crowd size.

Just over the living wage concept! Think youll find it was price for fireworks next meeting only 25 Yes, Gisborne added $5 for the show too. But it is still just over the living wage, which most harp on about, but when org's lift their prices, most complain.
