Bit of action in the final heat of the stockcars. Hope wade sweeting is okay Pretty poor from the commentator continually making little comments about the car that hit him, in no way was that the drivers intention

Harley Robb wins the champs with near max points and not a touch on him all night
Is he the best bloke in the field, the scariest bloke in the field, or a combination of both ?

Sensational feature
Ngatai had Cardwell and Cowling throwing the kitchen sink at him but held them off with some aggressive moves before McKays car come to him late and he went past all of them while Ngatai was using every line behind him to get past. Real battle of the different chassis in that one
While mentioning Ngatai, what an improvement in this stealth car. Move of the night earlier when he made it 3 wide up the straight and went underneath Boulton and Bengston to go from 3rd to 1st up the straight
I don’t understand afterwards though why we are stopping for interviews for the 2nd time of the night, at 10.30pm, and not even bothering to get the next race on the track and gridded up while they do them

Can't believe he started on the front row and lead the whole race and wasn't targeted at all

Think its his driving style. He tends to drive round the corners hugging the poleline.Hard to spin if you're not sideways.Peter Rees used to drive his Stockcar the same.Probably why he won 5 Nz Titles.

No one is untouchable The Crushers 5 were the standouts all night. Plenty of others could've made the difference but choose not to.

Supers put on a good show tonight. Really impressed with Ryan Marsden leading half the feature race in what I’m guessing is effectively still a saloon, faded back to 4th after the 30 laps but it was a drive that was great to watch, bit of a tough track with a big dip coming out of turn 4 catching them out. One of the best pole shuffles I have seen as well, think it was Lawson v Marsden that was an absolute standout. Trevor Elliott extremely smooth bringing the car home in first place
Mods were good all night as well
Canterbury Superstock Champs, probably not the best scheduling chucking in on a week for teams champs, not really any intentional contact at all over the 3 heats. Eagles cars all looking fast and Robb does the Canty Champs double. Ward had an interesting day, missed the ferry, broke down halfway down the South Island then after arriving not long before racing started his alternator nuts itself before the first race. Came back strong in the next 2 though
Brickbat for the police as well. Woodford Glen have a run a great setup for years, with security at both the train track and the exit waving cars though when it’s safe etc. now the police have put a stop to that, and the crowd were told it would be unmanned from now on, and if you don’t come to a complete stop, $150 dollar fine. Technically they are correct to the road rules, but what is safer with a big crowd leaving, people there waving through, or leaving it to people to decide themselves if a train might be coming ?

Good racing in the feature, not good for those stealth cars with 3 of them DNF.

My three favourite classes on display last night - Mods, Supersaloons & Superstocks and fantastic to see them together! I enjoyed watching superstock legend Peter Bengston appearing at WG in his 58 P supersaloon. Saw three of the Eagles cars tonight: 25C Lloyd Jennings, 971C Jayden Ward & 991C Harley Robb and they are looking good to go for Palmy teams! Still a long night with 21 races including the 30 lap supersaloon feature. Sitting with a family of newbies (including children) to speedway waiting for race number 21 - the demolition derby teams race - it was a long night. We had to endure 6 races of ministocks and 3 production saloons races. The old debate about promotion featuring both ministock classes on the same night goes on. Totally support youth ministocks and productions as feeder classes but 2 x classes of ministocks with production saloons on the same night? Give me a break! It's popular for Woodford Glen promotion to roll both classes out but for us grumpies we will limit our attendance accordingly. Because their are no barrier arms or bells at the railway crossing it's a Stop sign. Normally security wave cars through. Now for some reason they've stopped this resulting in a huge queue for the only exit point out of WG for vehicles. Why can't security continue to wave the cars through as they have done historically? What's the big deal? Roll on Palmy teams!

Good racing in the feature, not good for those stealth cars with 3 of them DNF. Yes they struggled all night, Ngatai wasn’t handling at all in the first race of the night, and Bengston was bouncing round in the rear over the bumps later on in the night

To make it even more unbearable they had all 3 in a row a couple of times.Adult ministocks, productions then youth ministocks. If they have to 2 ministock grades racing should give them a race each before the official start time like they used to with the novice solo races at Ruapuna.

Kids ministocks are the future of our sport and deserve every opportunity they get, and should get alot more credit than they do, why ppl moan and groan about them all the time is beyond me, without them I'd imagine the sport would be really struggling in all classes.
