It wasn't a big crowd, and racing was over by 930pm, so was easy getting out.

Team Red Waka told they aren’t required this year for the Battle Of the Stocks by the promoter
Very, very disappointing decision for the fans. Red Waka did pull out due to Covid in 2021, but the event didn’t run anyway. I’m sure there will be 3 very capable cars replacing them, but these guys have been extremely loyal to the event for a very long time, and they draw the crowds in as well
Will be interested to see if Woodford Glen put out any other reasons for the snubbing

When there’s a waiting list longer than your arm for other guys to get an invite, the club must do what’s right and those who withdraw do lose their invite for the following year.
Speedway isn’t big enough for certain drivers/teams to get special treatment over others. Rest assured I’m sure there will be a full grid come middle March for this event 😎

The club will have to pay for more petrol for the lawn mower if 591p can't be there.

What we don’t know, is if there were any freshly invited drivers this year, and these guys are overlooked for the spot
The latest update says the Red Waka team feel they are no longer welcome at Woodford Glen, which indicates something runs deeper than this 1 off call, which is a sad state of affairs

Red Waka withdrew giving up there spots so the next ones on the waiting list would of got there spots. I'm guessing after reading the original post on Facebook red Waka have burnt that bridge.

As an outsider looking in It seems thru this and a few other threads that there are certain members of this board who have a real axe to grind with the promotion team at WG, who are now using a driver's opinion that he's been "snubbed" by WG as their latest weapon in yet another attack the WG promotion/promoter.
Not my fight, I've enjoyed the times I've been to WG but I'll most likely never get back there again unfortunately. But to those ppl I'd say there isn't much that's dignified about these public attacks.

You may be correct, but have any of those 16 not be able to make it back this time, this I don’t know It is hard to make an exception for a 3 car team, but they have given this event a lot over the years, and I’m sure we have seen a Joblin have to pull out injured and be invited back the next season, this may not be an injury case, but the covid circumstances were exceptional at the time of the Red Waka decision as well Ultimately it’s just my opinion, sure there are rules in place, but I’m sure in the 20+ years of this event, they have been bent from time to time Anyhow I’ll hope to be there and take my son along to his first battle

Does Hemi think he can withdraw one year, then expect to be in the next?
This event has always had a waiting list and if you don't come, you lose your spot.
Personally I'd rather see drivers invited that are willing to use the bumper if needed.

I think his reason for pulling out is genuine and the fact the meeting never got run for that very reason of covid i think he should be aloud to stay in

They put the likes of Chevron taniwha in the car. Just so they kept there spot. All I will say is good on Woodford glen for sticking to their guns. Rules are rules. And I'm a fan of red Waka motorsport but don't think any team should be given preferintal treatment. I'll be there hopefully you get there with your son. Bos are great meetings. My highlight along with streetstock state of origin

Look at it this way Red Waka pulled out (covid) so Woodford Glen rang Sid Rotten, Barry Bogger and Nigel Weiner and said "Hay guys your in the BoS" Now as per the rules once your in your in, So Red Waka ring Woodford Glen and say hay guys we want back in. Are Woodford Glen supposed to ring Sid Rotten, Barry Bogger and Nigel Weiner and say sorry guys you know how we said your in well now your out??

Are we getting to the point you need tochange the format. Would drivers support that. Quilfying on night 1 And night two be finals. A north and south group. Top 16 in each go though. And instead of beginning the night. Last race of the night is top 12 race. Worth double points. Or what not. I feel it's big enough at this stage.

Yea but if you look at it this way, team red waka pulled out because of the new big thing covid and didnt want to risk it, the promotor then hits up the next on the list and says hey mate red waka pulled out cause of covid your in, then the meeting eventually gets cancelled cause of this thing called covid… You would think out of respect to the team that has supported the meeting for all these years you would give the invitation back to them as the meeting never happend because of that same very reason they had pulled out?? Surely rotten bogger and weiner would respect that also… Thats the way i look at it anyway..

Yeah I agree with you… but then again of the meeting didn’t get canceled they wouldn’t of been there racing… (totally legit reasons too) it’s hard one…
