Hadnt heard of Stewart before tonight, very impressive
Some really good racing across the classes tonight, crackup watching the wingless fella who was leading the feature and got punted out of the way to come in 2nd dive in front of the other car repeatedly after the race then decide he’d whip into victory lane and grab the flag
For 16 races it was a very pedestrian run night, the commentator repeatedly kept talking about how cold it was and there were some huge gaps inbetween races. The end of the night a perfect example, Sprintcars should have been making their way onto the track and getting pushed away while the infield stuff was going on for the GP result

agree about the Sprintcars. they should have been pushed onto the track during presentations but huge gaps? Its not that we sat there with nothing doing. lets say that there was plenty of work put in between some races while the track got a whizz up to help make it right for the feature. Its not that it was bad, but by keeping the cushion under control it made for a great feature track. Id rather sit in the cool autumn night to see a good track, than watch a great midget field with half the track to use.

The main one was just before the B main when they had the lolly scramble etc, and during that time the big tractor was driving around, but it didn’t have the attachment on the back down doing any work, was probably about 15-20mins downtime there. Didn’t realise until they mentioned it that they were running to a later curfew though

Was a really nice family afternoon out, my wife’s favourite track in the Canterbury area and my son loves the playground
Stewart extremely impressive but just couldn’t hold Mosen. Surprise packet of the day 91c Ethan Smith in the TQs who held 2nd for most of the feature holding 1NZ at bay for a long period
The young 54a in the 1/4s took 2 big tumbles in exactly the same spot

Was race of two halves Brad struggled Time Trials qualifying 19th moved forward was helped some DNFS especially from those started up front including Hodgson and Jeremy Webb. Then MP had broken right rear shock after half distance. Mosen just ran out of laps.. ]MP for win tonight be cool especially with NZ Title few weeks away. Go Pickens for win # 6 tonight. Surfing through the previous posts one such admirer thought the grand old sleeping fox was not on form Amazing how the tune changes ,bit like listening to the radio station Coast ..

I love subtle way of putting it. yes am guilty didnt think bounce back so quickly lol just goes to show class is permanent. was glad be proved wrong especially over the weekend at Ruapuna Speedway. winning his 19th SNZ Championship title goes to show he's still one to beat when comes championship.
