I was going to go to rotorua for the triples this weekend as I love this meeting and have been everytime since it's inception, but unless the weather markedly improves this will be the meeting for me.

An action-packed night will be had this Saturday, November 25th at the Robertson Prestige International Speedway, with something on the programme for everyone. The PTS Logistics Superstock Masters - a championship for over 40 year-olds will see the survival of the fittest take the prestigious honours. Add in a Stockcar teams race, Manawatu Standard Fireworks Spectacular and the Jack Links Beef Jerky Ramp Derby, and what a night Saturday is going to be!

The PTS Logistics Superstock Masters has a quality field of drivers from around the North Island making the trip to the Robertson Prestige International Speedway to compete for the title. Drivers including defending champion 19m Kerry Remnant, 8p Scott Miers, 10g Peter Rees, 73a Bryce Marx and 591p Wayne Hemi to name a few of the quality field capped at 26 drivers.

In addition, all Superstock drivers under the age of 40 or not participating in the PTS Logistics Superstock Masters can race and qualify for a Wheeltec NZ $1,000 Dash for Cash event, which will see the top 13 masters drivers mix with the young guns in a one race, Dash for Cash. A total of seven Superstock races in one night - what more could you ask for!

Adding further to the excitement is a Stockcar teams race, when the Palmerston North Pumas take on the Wellington Young Guns in an explosive first teams race of the season. The Pumas will be looking to make a statement and put their best foot forward. Expect plenty of action, team tactics and the battle of the bravest on the track! The Palmerston North Pumas team has been named as: 13p Lucas Hey, 31p Jared Davis, 79p Kyle Rowe, 172p Daniel Burmeister, 223p Raetea Robinson and 667p Hamish McLeod.

Plus, the Stockcar drivers will be also out on the dirt putting their bumper to work, putting on a show for the fans. The Minisprints will be racing wheel-to-wheel putting on a spectacular show with their skilled driving, making for some sensational racing!

A field of road cars with windows and headlights removed will battle it out for the always popular Jack Links Beef Jerky Ramp Demolition Derby. Extra thrills and spills are provided by a ramp that must be negotiated during their travels around the CET Arena, along with duelling the other maniacs on the track. This is always great family entertainment and will leave you in fits of laughter!

Finishing the night with the Manawatu Standard Fireworks Spectacular - the most impressive and biggest Fireworks display in the Manawatu will light up the night sky.

Classes in action are Superstock Masters, Stockcar Teams Race, Superstocks, Stockcars, Minisprints, Adult Ministocks, Ramp Derby

Yes Video Hub streams every single meeting out of Palmerston North

They also offer a very fairly priced on demand service avaliable often the next day after the meeting where you can rent a stream to watch for up to a month, or you can subscribe for $24 monthy on demand where you can watch all streams dating back as far as 2015

Really great for drivers and crew that often dont get to see any racing on the night and good if you cant be at 2 tracks at once on a saturday and dont want to be miss out on the action

First triples meeting i will have missed but not unhappy to head to my home track tonight.
Rolled into palmy to a overcast but otherwise sunny day, warm, the usual light breeze haha, nah it looks good here for racing, not accepting any more cars as the pits are going to be full to capicity according to the fb page, depends how much of the room is made for adult ministocks I guess, but yes expecting a very good meeting.

Weather is good, warm..breezy, if you know the palmy pits at all, they are full to the gunnels,they were right when they said they were full and not accepting anymore entries from any class tonight.
This is looking like and should be an absolute stellar meeting!!

Pumas put up a good win in the 1st teams race of the night v the Young Guns, well driven race, wellington did slot a couple of palmy boys, but a win is a win
See if the young guns can take one back in the second.
Good to see 1, 2 and 3NZ here tonight as well as the 1NZ from Stratford.
Slight delay in racing as the back straight is missing power for the lap scoring system.

Nice pace out of these guys that's for sure.
Defending champ kerry Remnant got in a good tangle on the first lap,got her going again but suffered an inside left and pulled off a few laps later

36 rolled up to the start line for their heat one. Again a good number of centrally located tracks represented here as well.
74p gets a good hit and is rolled over in front of the grand stand for the 1st roll of the night.

6s for 3rd, couldn't keep up to much action
66s rolled by 37p and got restarted then got walked again, then 26v gave 72p a good sized shot in turn 4 and end over ended him.

The new track surface needs a lot of work, I have never seen a track like that since the nz stockcar champs in Bay Park, with clay often flying into the grand stand, not very good for the little ones there for the fireworks, I actually took a shot on the forearm to stop a lump of clay hitting the side of the face of a little one, and as a good gester her father offered $50, I said to him keep for your children to come to speedway again, on a positive side the introduction of lime has certainly made more grip and high speed rollovers in all classes, now that,s how speedway should be, action and excitement to the max. .

So was that because of a flat tyre? Interestingly they use lime at meeanee at that has the same problem with dirt over the fence. NOT from flat tyres. I wonder why they changed. And if they will have some of meeanees problems now as well. Interesting.

They have used lime in the past when relaying the track with great success,
At the Robin Pratt meeting this year the track had started to cut up a wee bit resulting in some top running cars with right rear flats so they decided to relay it, unfortunatley there had been few rain outs and alot of rain in that time and the track hadnt been raced on untill the weeekend so im wondering if that may have played a part in it, hopefully they can get back on top of it!
I believe only 1 roll over was a result of the track being rough and that was more so car got spun round the opposite way coming out of the corner and bit in next to the pole line

No it wasn't from flat tyres, just general racing.
Sort of makes you wonder what the difference is between dirt being flung over/through the fence from a car at full race pace with fully inflated tyres to cars with one flat tyre? You don't see those cars being sent infield for flinging clumps of dirt into the crowd?

As other folks have insinuated, the flat tyre rule isn't right. I get the intention but it's not really workable when just as much mud is being flung into the crowd from cars with fully inflated tyres.

Rather than sending cars infield (which is ruining the spectacle for punters), maybe tracks need to look at things like fence construction or seating placement?
