At most tracks I've been to the clay goes over the fence and it also goes into a certain area when the track is in a certain condition. Since the rule has the number of people hurt by clay changed since bringing in the tyre rule. What are rhe statics. Has data been collected? Or this is there only solution. Which is merely a box ticking exercise. Look we are trying to do something.

Yes it is a box ticking exercise.
But the great thing about Speedway in NZ is if you can think of a better way to reduce the harm that may come from flying clay. You can submit a rule at the AGM and the Tracks and Drivers can vote it in

put a 10 meter high plywood fence all around the track so no mud or clay cant get to the crowd, doesnt matter that the crowd cant see, cause the show must go on, heaven forbid that a flat tyre should stop you from finishing a race
