There are two classes of sprintcar drivers the more advanced and those that drive like sightseeing sunday drivers . It absolutely spoils good competitive racing when you get the lesser degree driver circling around like grannie going to church in a model T. Not to mention the damage they cause and seem to think oh it was not me ... I felt sorry for several top competitors last night caught up by these geriatric type blokes ... Overall it was a good meeting with a sell out crowd ,so the price the Chef gave them did not deter the fact it was over priced and to see quite a few friends from across the road enjoy themselves rather than watch 6 modifieds racing just proved that and a couple of old historic dodgems ...

Battersby should retire again he is dangerous. Crashed 57n and 22k Did he cause any other incidents other than this one? There are quite a few drivers who either A) slow down straight after the chequer and should wait until turn 2 B) stay hard in the gas when the yellows are clearly out and passing cars Scenario b is becoming more apparent and wrecking gear as well Yes the incident was caused by Battersby - but I didn’t think his driving during the night called for him to retire

think maybe they should have tilled the track a bit lower, seemed the high line was just a little bit too high

I stand corrected - yes there was the yellow in the b main after spinning after trying a oasss in 58 that wasn’t on. Springs is a hard venue that highlights key differences unlike Baypark.

Only thing baypark highlights is who has a big motor with plenty of horsepower springs last night evened up a bit of the hp with less hp and was a little technical.. like comment above tiller a bit lower and earlier might have got the top side going better

Agree. Peter said in commentary that he was trying to create two lines but the top needed to be handled gently. Standring also talked about re profiling the track for the same outcome. I thought that they didn’t achieve it tbh, it seemed to me to be about 1.5 lanes wide. Pickens made it work but only when needed, and I don’t think JA really thought he would make it stick around the outside.
