Next one to Ross Dallas 8p/Chev V8 Next one to Murray West 17p/Ford V8 Next one to Gary Parkes and to Brian Winstanley in NN again. I make 4 in total. The West car had major alterations to full coil over suspension etc. The others all stayed with the Dodge torsion bars. From memory the Dallas car ended up with Paul Perkins for along time and then onto standard stock duties(now 97p?). The West car went to Mr Burmiester and from there?? The others have been covered previously.

I understand Ross Leonard had a Gary Parkes built car back in the early 90's when he raced for the Hawkeyes.
Ross, are you able to shed some light on this?

That is correct as Ross bought the car off Clyde McGrory-1g who bought it from Gary Parkes when he came out of retirement.Was it the 1st spacey that Gary built?

Did Brian Winstanley (22n) only have one of Gary Parkes' cars and just paint it differently every year? My dad changed the colours but he has owned 2 parkes cars

Looks like 4p rides again, and I think its even a home built Parkes Jobby?

I have studied the pics carefully from siderails down & have found enough evidence to confirm that YES we do have the 1NZ chassis of Garys. Also in my search i have realised that the Dallas car is NOT our chassis as the year Gary defended the title both Perkins & Dallas were racing in the same meeting & Gary had a new car & i also have written text from the defending year that states that Gary had sold the 1NZ chassis to Perkins. Gary has stated there is someone up north currently restoring a chassis of his from these days who believes he has the old 1NZ, Does anyone know where this guy is as we need to get hold of him to view what pics he may have just to put our minds at ease. Pics of the Perkins chassis with the extra bars & how the chassis looked from the owner my mate got the car from will be posted at a later date

Pics of the Perkins chassis with the extra bars & how the chassis looked from the owner my mate got the car from will be posted at a later date bill peat is restoring it well guys its been awhile, but ive finally managed to scan the information & pics of the ex 1NZ car that was sold to Paul Perkins, im not sure when the pic of Paul was taken but as you can see it has some funky bars on the front which you can see in the 2nd pic of the bare chassis, Pic 1....
