Since the 76a and 14p cars are both on this thread it seems appropriate to raise the issue of the rear foil on the back of the body. Ritchie Wright 76A used to have a rear fin on the back of his stockcar body that was removed after SNZ got involved. I wondered how the Joel Pitcher type bodies as per the 14p ministock one got around it.
The stockcar construction rules do say that there should be one aerofoil only (rule pointed out to me by SNZ when considering a front wing on the stockcar). Surely the joel pitcher body is pushing the rule a bit

well actually bump we had to write to SNZ as our cars wouldnt pass green sheeting because of the body type,we were told that stockcar bodies have to be based on a normal road car. So what we did is said that the body is based on the porsche body and we got a pass. Then there was talk bout why Joels rolllcage hung out on the side ,so we had to put fibreglass round it.

Just for clarification i was not having a go at you in relation to your ministock body, rather the SNZ interpretation which outlawed ritchies one. Admittedly it was a bit more pronounced but unfortuantely I do not have a photo of it. The issue of covering the rollcage is just a waste of everyones time. Who (other than SNZ) really cares if those bars hang out the side of the body what safety has been gained by covering them with fibreglass. I thought the Pitcher bodies were a pulsar one. Thanks for the correction

The 63 car shown the portaloo or Postman pat vehicle at time of photo had been sold by Les to Richard Keijzer who is driving it in the photo.. He had it for a couple of seasons. It had a valiant in it and some tricky suspension and other bits. It was rebodied when Richard still had it. It went to Moongoon in Wanganui and think it is still down there under different ownership running a Falcon

Look chaps the body was designed by Tony Mac and it isnt based off anything but we had to say that it was based off a porsche so we could use it

Good on ya tamed for going against the normal. Readily available stockcar bodies (second hand) other than Ford Ys is fairly slim. I had invisioned putting a Subaru WRX hatch body on my old car but finding a donor body to make the mould off proved too costly. I still think it would have looked cool though.
