Actually the 89a tank that went to Tony after me was Chris's first tank that he won the teams champs the first time for Waikato with and originally came from George Duncan many years ago. This car is back in Auckland and is meant to be coming back out as a standard stock soon
The Bill Peat tank and Chris's second tank were similar to the original as above but lighter!

i sold my std stock tank to Willy matson in palmy , he then sold it to Chris gomans , i brought Chris Britten's tank the next day after selling my std stock , i put a Toyota in it and raced a couple of seasons agrade then sold it to the Eaton's in tauranga as a bare chassis, which they turned in to a std stock , 0r in the previous thread is Todd Kelly , it was built along side my std stock tank by bill peat

Wasn't Wade and Burleys semi tanks built by Hampton. Isn't Burleys in the Hawkes bay somewhere on a trailer?

Lindsay Willis ran a tank out of Rotorua around 1974. Anybody got any more info, or a better pic? Where is it now?

Yankeeclipper10H sent this photo through of the ex Lindsay Willis tank taken in 1990 at Paradise Valley. 11R Todd Kelly, car looks like it has had a hard life. We believe it was eventually scrapped, has anybody else got some information or photos? As to the tank on TradeMe can anybody add some history, the seller seems a bit unsure!

Macgor may well still have a picture of that semi Tank on trade me, in his files it was for sale in the standard stocks page. Car was from Gisbourne i think and for sale at $1000 from memory
This cars most unique feature would be that the Engine sits very close to the front axle which you would think means that there is not enough wieght over the back wheels
