Hi, does any1 have any pics of the tank driven by Wayne Booker? during the early 1990s?, i think it was no# 41? it had a black chassis with a red Steel! ford Y body, and was powered by a ford v8, raced out of Ferndene. Cool car, where is it now?

Macgor may well still have a picture of that semi Tank on trade me, in his files it was for sale in the standard stocks page. Car was from Gisbourne i think and for sale at $1000 from memory This cars most unique feature would be that the Engine sits very close to the front axle which you would think means that there is not enough wieght over the back wheels Amazingly I found this in my trash bin . Text of the ad was . BUILT IN GISBORNE. IT HAS 3.9 FALCON MOTOR AND THREE SPEED TRANS. TRANSIT DIFF. HAS CHASSIS TAGS AND MOTOR SEALS. NEEDS CARB ,TANK. VERY VERY STRONG. $1OOO ONO EMAIL i think this is the one that sold to Stratford to Nick Gibbs i think macgor here it is Photo by Mr GH www.speedwaynz.com

the history of 4f/41s of wayne bookers as i know it. was sold to andrew harris 36s then me, i raced as 79s then sold to nick gibbs 232s, he cut it up and buried it on his farm, he never raced it. he ended up trying to race the tank thing that chris56 is talking about.

Great Photos FastFord - do you have any of the 1p 2XS Tank in it's Green & White paintwork ???
From memory the 2p Regional Radio Tank as driven by Murray West in that photo was the 1p tank previosuly.
Great shots anyway mate.
