this car has just been sold and new owner is restoring to original specs including engine and running gear While it will go back to original specs, I hope it runs the colours above that Brian Anderson ran above, including the wing - I remeber when he came out that season when the car was rebuilt, it blew a lot of peoples minds. And of course got 2nz at Christchurch. awesome.

Sorry to disappoint you Obby but think you will find that it will roll out in the same paint colour as it was when Dave Evans first rolled it out of his workshop. I believe all original spec parts have now been sourced and total ground up rebuild is going to commence in the very near future.

(AS RESTORED),Dont think its running the same gearbox, diff and rear spring set up as it was first built.I have an old mag somewhere with the full story and photos of the first tank, will see if i can put the story up on here. The first time i saw the tank was the first night bruce had it there, the pits were on turn 2 back in those days,it was like night and day when you looked at what the others looked like.It may have also got a bit hot that night also, but what a great looking car for that time in the history of stockcar racing in nz
