Tank 5. Similar to 4 in that it was narrower and built for modern tyres, engine also offset. Scotty's first Tank. Out of interest, who drove that 99 blue tank in the background?

More photos have been added to some of the original postings. Here is a cool Abrahams photo of Scotty in Tank 5 at Rotorua. NZ v UK Teams Race I think.

If it is not too much trouble, could I please ask if one of you great photographers had a clean shot of the Team Tanks of WW3 glory.. Maybe a good team shot or even all 4 in the pits. Much appriciated

Thanks for putting those photos up Racefan. It was a great night for Tanks & the history of tanks.. They will never die!!
I agree too, cant wait to see Horse dialed into the tank he is brutal, beating Lionel in the teams runoff was complete dominance. Hopefully that mongrel Tony Takarua will join him and bring Roto's back up the food chain!

The new season is well underway and I think only four of the original type tanks have made an appearance. Peter Rees gave the Pitcher car a run and the ex 8P car in Nelson has been out as have 85H and 38R. Here are 38R and offspring , and 85H: Any photos from Nelson and Palmy?

Peter Rees gave the Pitcher car a run and the ex 8P car in Nelson has been out as have 85H and 38R. Two tanks now in Nelson, the ex8p and the ex podjursky versions, driven by Blair Cunningham and Mike Delaney. Delaney tank not raced yet due to engine issues at start of season.
