hi has any one got a contact num for the guy ho got the old tank in blenheim blocker his last name i think he brought it of me old man wen it was 0p thanks John Blokker has the original Tank No2- from memory it did stints in Nelson with Spider Bonner and Rex (Pumpkin) Collier before heading over the hill to Blenheim, either way the history is further back on this thread and also Scotty Miers website. |

Update time coming soon. To start off here is a photo taken by Brendon Learmouth courtesy of PNSpeed. Tank #1, the old original still going, and sounding great, at the 2012 Teams Champs at Palmerston North while having a run with the Waikato Golden oldies.  |

I have cleaned up this thread and removed some off topic posts. Here is another brief update, hopefully some photos of the new Miers Tank will be forthcoming very soon. Tank #4 (gregobro photo) Currently 32H and for sale.  Tank #9 Wade/Clarkson/Miers also currently for sale.   Tank #11 The Ross Ashby Tank still looks smart.  Tank #12 is also looking a whole lot nicer.  Any photos of the other Robertson/Evans/Podjursky Tanks that have raced this season are welcome. |

Tank 2.Built by Dave Evans copied from Tank 1. Warren McIntyre gained 1NZ in this car at Nelson in 1981.  As driven by Brian Anderson 1981-85.   And John Blokker from 1997.    TANK 2 - WARREN ALSO WON THE NI TITLE IN THIS CAR IN THE SAME YEAR - ONLY DRIVER TO WIN NZ AND NI TITLE'S IN THE SAME YEAR |

It'll be interesting to see what diff goes back into the restored car.
As I recall it, it had an independant rear end made from a "Sidevalve Ford V8" diff centre section, with a cover over it to hide the diff with the words "Worm Drive" painted on it.
This didn't last long however before it was converted to a J2 or J4 Mowog diff.
All this, if my memory serves me correctly?
