I'd say the top and bottom pics definitely are, as they're certainly taken at the Ellerslie racecourse where scrutineering was held. As for the middle pic, is it the same car? The 26 car looks like the ex World 240 winning Kuriger of Paul Urlich - I can't recall who drove it in Auckland - but I don't think the 39S is. Gawd don't you just hate the number chances? So confusing, and sooooooooooo ugly - and so unnecessary, even back then. Number changes, very hard when doing research without a programme that has been correctly filled in. Only saw number changes at one superstock meeting this season, that was the 248 Global challenge. I hope the trend continues, or we get NATIONAL NUMBERING.

Thought is was, couldn't quite remember, and yes 99A would have been Neil Powell I thought Neil Powell had sold the car by 1993 and was racing modifieds? Could be wrong You could be right fonzy...............'93 was my last summer doing pics at WP, and I remember getting a sequence of him flipping the Mod in Cemetery bend. Hmmmm, I'm sure somebody will get it right soon.........

Wow great photos of this meeting, I was 7 but such an influential meeting in my life, & I remember clear as day the big talk we had with Kevin Free and him letting me sit in his car and how sick he was and didnt think he could qualify. I owned this 99A car which i brought off Bill Peat and his brother Dave (thanks steiny lol) and ran as 77H standard stock.
