Also, what happened to Jennings in the final heat ? Thought he would have a podium spot starting grid 3 but came in 8th

Hopefully this is right..... Close I'm sure Tim..............but with all of those 0 points in Heat 3 I'm picking some a little lower down the order must be different, given the rules for allocating points in Super Saloon championships. What a night - glad I missed it.

My take on it is, i f you have a flat tyre rather than circulating you pull to the infield so you don't disadvantage other cars on the track and gain points in order that you went off after the finish, if you retire or get put off then you get no points....
flat tyre points- you receive the next set of points after the last car crosses the finish line.... so you get more points if fewer cars finish the race even if you went off in the first lap....
I think its a good rule, many times I have been a close battle destroyed when a slow car has hindered the chasing car in a corner etc. in previous years

I know I was tired, but when someone asked about it being a 4 lap run off, I am sure I counted 6! Mind you, it was late, cold, and I wanted to know who WON.
Congratulations to all place getters.

Good idea that, as you say better than being in the road upsetting a good race. & its simple, I would be putting that one on the SNZ table...easier said than done, But I think all drivers would agree & spectators, seen it happen plenty of times & can really slow the Field up sometimes in the corner IE just a nu sense! good one!
