Mike both of these issues you refer to are from all account's the result of self inflected errors which any team preparing for a title should not make. Also if you actually were able to watch the modified racing at the glen you could carry more weight with your views. The 4c car has been well on the pace on at least 3 occasions in the last few meeting and been caught and passed inside and out. There has been a number of racers in chch upgrade their equipment this season which is great, probably more than you are aware of but the fact at the end of the day, is in my opinion the 4c car is currently at its limits which as you have pointed out is on pace with 29c and 84c but has not completed the deal as such when it comes to carrying its share of the checked flag. As was pointed out in my first post it will be a uphill battle for the southern cars due to the small amount of track time and small field numbers. That is reality. To make the finals group will tough, then it steps up a gear.

i have seen most of the meetings via dvd so have seen it
dont forget mike has been starting off the back and passing them both
you are right about the lack of running down at the glen but dont forget he has had a tail on his car and has been running with the sprint cars etc and from all accounts that i have heard (from sprint car owners and drivers) he has done very well
its a pity that the mods will never be a force in the south again (numbers are low and cars are not of the same caliber as the north)

I have heard that some of these errors included someone putting the fuel filter in backwards and washing the car without covering up the mag. He has done A LOT of laps at the Glen and Ruapuna this season so he should be well prepared to go and kick ass in Welly tonight. But he's had how many wins at the Glen this season??Go girl power 84c!!!! ;D

Oh, she races it off the trailer & is not towing it around hornby like some people used to.....

And are you saying Scotty's an easy beat? Perhaps you should go get one of your many Mods/Stockcars and get amongst it on Fantasy Island But lets not let this degrade into another Mike H bashing thread. Go the southerners and Good luck to everyone racing. I'm sure it'll be a couple of great meetings. Shame I'm not there

About 6 cylinders short of a good V8 some might say...........this "easiest group" vs "hardest group" talk from behind a computer is a little tiring. Go those that are doing it in the dirt!!!!!!!!!!

Barry, be careful , he did try to race a modified. Sadly he just couldnt find his way out of the chch suburb of hornby to make it to the Glen to race it. Natasha broke the lap record I read.....this may well be her year!!!

She not only broke the lap record but pulled off some of the cleanest and best passes of the night. 84C must be one of the favourites based on last nights performance.

She not only broke the lap record but pulled off some of the cleanest and best passes of the night. 84C must be one of the favourites based on last nights performance. Not only that but check out the NEW odds posted by the TAB this morning which put Foxy & Tash as favourites. Personally I pick both of the racing.org.nz members to make the Top 3 and would be more than happy to see either of them take the win ;D Trouble is the moment I ever a place a bet on someone at the TAB their luck changes instantly and a win becomes near impossible Option 699 - Race Winner - NZ Modifieds - Wellington Closes 19:00 on 26 Jan 2008 1 3NZ J Fox $3.25 2 2NZ S Lane $12.00 3 9W T Arapere $6.00 4 56A P Blakely $13.00 5 1NZ A Haigh $6.00 6 6A B Jesen $30.00 7 71S J Jackson $30.00 8 77S C Ward $30.00 9 4S M Dixon $13.00 10 84C N Rogers $5.50 11 96N C Frost $50.00 12 11S M Julian $50.00 13 21A G Parker $50.00 14 55S P Ward $40.00 15 18R D Hansen $70.00 16 121S S Rose $50.00 17 16R W West $50.00 18 4C M Gauley $50.00 19 69W M Moore $60.00 20 7S M Jury $70.00 21 10S W Noonan $70.00 22 5W B McPhee $15.00 23 6W P Patterson $60.00 24 86A G Hughes $100.00 25 15R A Pash $100.00 26 15W P Hodson $100.00 27 114W C Pottinger $100.00 28 18A C Campbell $100.00 29 99A N Roberston $100.00 30 36A P Crumpe $125.00 Option 700 - Top 3 Finish - NZ Modifieds - Wellington Closes 19:00 on 26 Jan 2008 1 3NZ J Fox $1.40 2 2NZ S Lane $3.00 3 9W T Arapere $1.90 4 56A P Blakely $3.00 5 1NZ A Haigh $1.90 6 6A B Jesen $6.25 7 71S J Jackson $6.50 8 77S C Ward $6.50 9 4S M Dixon $3.40 10 84C N Rogers $1.90 11 96N C Frost $11.00 12 11S M Julian $11.00 13 21A G Parker $11.00 14 55S P Ward $10.00 15 18R D Hansen $15.00 16 121S S Rose $11.00 17 16R W West $11.00 18 4C M Gauley $11.00 19 69W M Moore $14.00 20 7S M Jury $15.00 21 10S W Noonan $15.00 22 5W B McPhee $3.50 23 6W P Patterson $15.00 24 86A G Hughes $25.00 25 15R A Pash $25.00 26 15W P Hodson $25.00 27 114W C Pottinger $25.00 28 18A C Campbell $25.00 29 99A N Roberston $25.00 30 36A P Crumpe $30.00

Fantastic news about Natasha. She has had her share of bad luck over the last couple of years but sounds like she was flying last night. Passing 3 wide and getting the lap record, the NZ "queen of clay" is going well despite some of the negative comments suggesting she would not. Best of luck Natasha !

Mark Dixon's odds dropped by $7.00 overnight after a solid qualifing round.Still good odds paying $13.00 to win and $3.80 to place."Get A piece of it!"
