I have attached the suspension part of the SNZ rule book page 15, don't think much has changed, reasonably clear in the writings
(d) All standard steering and steering box, struts, shocks, bottom arms, sway bar, ball joints, cross member, brakes, springs, engine and gear box mounts, rear axle and differential (differential may be locked), wheels, drive shaft and control pedals must be used. Accessory type pedal grippers are permitted. (e) Front and rear standard suspension systems must be fitted unaltered; however coil springs may be shortened and rear leaf springs may be shortened at the rear. Front and rear spring mounts are free. (f) Any other device to restrict suspension travel is not
Is a rose joint a standard part on a suspension? and does fitting adjustable parts make it a standard supension, maybe the rule isnt quite clear enough and has some grey areas. SNZ may be moving to clarify the intention however rather than posting a heading like this contacting Tim at SNZ may help your case and also get the correct information from him. cheers

It dose suck that changers are made after season starts. If that happens you should have until the next green sheeting to get it done as most work to cars are done in off season.

My opinion on this matter would be to consult with SNZ or their local man Marty Jones...before such changes to your car
From my experience, its better to check such adjustments out with the powers at be ..before hand...as it saves time & stress..
It amazes me that people turn up at the start of each season..thinking they have a right to do anything they want...then " pack a sad" with everyone else except themselves...
SNZ have of late started up a policy of discussion & consultation...so that would be your best course of action
Cheers

May be we have too wait for the paper work to come out from SNZ . I have to say that the Taniwhat suspension system is getting away from what mini stock were design for , a cheaper class (if we have such a class) It amazes me also why anybody would spend $430 a side from a youth mini stocks ?

To go fast and win.. Yes 12-17 year olds like to win.

Chris I am a little bit surprised by your comments ,as I recall your car does not run the adjustable arms and yet it is a fairly competative car. The perception that one needs to spend $900 or so dollars on front suspension mounts to make ones car go fast to me seems a little bit wrong . However all that SNZ have said is that if you want adjustable top arms thats fine just not aluminium arms and Rod ends To the guy who started the thread and I see now has his car for sale on TradeMe. Instead of packing a Paddy and giving up why not get involved with the rule making process and have some constructive imput . Cutting of your nose to spite your face is never a good look.
