Granted there was some confusion as to the number of laps. Some cars reported doing two laps with the white flag out!! The legality of the hit wasn't in question, if the green is on, youre fair game. Once you pass the flag if dont wanna get hit you pull into the infield. The point was that it wasnt really necessary as the car was crippled, and it was discussed at the briefing that those cars wouldnt be targeted. Also, there was never a threat of the Greymouth cars winning the series. The surprise for me was that the GM boys didnt help out the Blemheim guys a bit more. Every man for himself I guess.

Hate getting into politics but yes for both GM and Blenheim all the team drivers agreed that there would be no hitting stationary cars andyou would not be able to attack from a stationary position and if you were stationary for more than 2 laps you were deemed to be out of the race.To my knowledge no stationary cars were hit and the race was hard but fair.Personally i feel this should be the rule for all team racing before some one is seriously injured. PS Thanks all those involved.Just got home it's 3 am checking out the photos over a coffee

The surprise for me was that the GM boys didnt help out the Blemheim guys a bit more. Every man for himself I guess. The greymouth guys had an enjoyable night after racing with a few beers in greymouth, which culminated in offers to join with both PN and Blen at the next weekend ;D The team decided to be straight up and say no to both - and paid the price with only one greymouth car finishing in Blenheim! THanks for both PN and Blenheim for giving us a pretty good lesson in what it takes to team race. NO quarter asked and no quarter given. There a few sore bodies and sore cars this week in greymouth, but we will be back, and twice as ready next year with any luck. Beatle was an inspiration to the team in the tank, with a few wanting to go the Beatle Tarrent school of stockcar driving - a hard man, and a true tank commander. I think the last quote i got out of him after the teams race was "I dont want to get too much damage before Huntly next week, but it still want to put a show on for the crowd" Hope there wasn;t too much damage after slowing the whole feild down in most races, putting big shots on most cars, and rolling yourseld in the 2nd after taking out a superstock driver/director! good luck in Huntly this weekend to the Bay team - hopefully the tank shows the same reliability up there as he did down here, and the body doesn't feel to bad. Every teams racer from the two weekends racing said its harder with 3 teams at once, more cars to smash you, more leaders to worry about, and lots of damage. Next year we look foward to proper teams races, so we can be better prepared for an eventual shot at the NZ Teams title.

Crikey, that 61N has taken a beating! Great shots. Drew The 61n car was being driven by Ricky Boulton, with the aim being to set up the suspension. Palmy cars had their own opinion on how the suspension should look. !! 61's damage was from rolling the tank.... good nights racing by stocks... excellent crowds.... just need to talk to the wind gods b4 next meeting lol

Tell you what tho,i had a bit of a moan about the the format with 3 teams at once but it sure is good to get the instincts working, basically your 5 vs 10. A team race 4 vs 4[huntly format]and you should know exactly were everyone is.I reckon it worked well.

are we going to see you this week obby? or time for a rest? My body is sweet as (stockcar body might be another story ) but at this stage the wallet is seriously bruised from the two weeks worth of traveling to get racing. My offsider is away this weekend, so I'll be laying low in wellywood....or else i might be hitching from New Plymouth to Huntly friday and saturday yet Just have to work out the first leg from Wellington to the mighty Naki Be interesting to see if any team members make it too this weekends meeting - there some damaged bodys and some damaged stockcars around from the last two weekends. There should be another 5 cars around to fill the gaps though, so potential still for good feilds in Greymouth this weekend
