they will be calling you " scarey " I believe that ones already taken Ric, but I'm sure they'll think of somthing Hay Gregbro We had always wanted to make the step up to supers the reason for the long delay has been lack of funds and to be honest the NRP will be an extremely budget super, but it will be a starting point. The intention had been to have the new Tank built as a Superstock, but after much consideration we have decided for a tank to reach its full potential it has to be in a class where the use of bumpers to achieve success is the norm. The NRP has proven itself to be competitive in the Superstock ranks on a national stage, so why not use it. 46p, 171r, 17v, 4r, 7r, 114r... the list goes on. Lets hope they come back next season, the more the better.

919 s sounds good though even if you still have to use boat anchors to power your cars. And I had the bourbon bottle ready for launching as well

If it's the KK driver I'm thinkin' of, he's gonna be a handful!!!! Yeah Mate you’re not wrong, I saw this guy in action at the NI Champs & heard about his hitting in Wellington. I just got of the phone with the other New Tank owner & he says it's okay to let the cat out of the bag. “Lindsay Trotter” will be the owner of the New Bill Peat Tank number 6? I believe he's working on getting the new weapon on track towards the end of this season. ( He still has a ways to go ) As for the body type that will have to remain a mystery. Gotta keep something Secret!

Hi to all those who have been asking about my New Bill Peat Tank currently under construction. It’s true there are a couple of new secret weapons being built in the Waikato but there has been a slight change in plan in the Bessant camp as of last night. After much consideration and deliberation we have decided My current NRP chassis 919 is going to undergo a conversion during the off season to return to Toyota Agrade/Super stock. The new Tank will start its life as a Stockcar next season. Auckland could do with a Tank in its armoury for the teams in Wellington. For the record it will be a FORD. hope this brings you all up to date. Shane Bessant Stockcar 919A Bit of a shame, really. The allstars need a well driven tank in thier ranks. Never mind, the allycats will benifit I'm sure.

Thanks to Basil and Pallmall some more pieces fit into the jigsaw but then to confuse things I found these two pics which if there were only four original Peat tanks would have to be the same car?! Who was 36r tank, I took the photo at Huntly... does anyone know who bought the 55w... Maybe this should be in the MIA, apologies to those who are sick of tanks!

Just a wee update The chassis and roll cage are just about completed, with a little bit of welding to be done. Now the fun begins with mounting of the running gear a nissan V6 has been chosen. Hope to drop motor off next week for fitting but have to alter the sump and a few other things first. Will post some photos once the running gear is fitted. If all goes well the first outing will be at Taipa.
Cheers Lindsay Trotter (not 34k because this car has been sold.)

Taking a hazardous guess here but the 23V George Duncan car I believe was pedalled by 23V Scott Duncan last season before Scott stepped up in to the ex-186V Barnes Super/Stock this season??

Hi All a quick update from the SendAtee camp. Our Tank is a long way from being finished. we are currently 100% focused on our new shop and unfortunately have had neither time nor money to invest in the my toy. At this stage as I said earlier in the off season are looking at a 2 year project to have her ready for the track. So it's 09 10 season is the goal. Mr Trotter on the other hand Bill Peat Tank 5 ( If all rumors are true ) will be rolling out of the shed in the near future?? But it's only a rumor. Shane Bessant Superstock Tank 919

Just a question Shane, From previous posts/threads you said the tank would be a Stockcar and now you have signed off as Superstock Tank 919. Has there been a change of plans now that you have sold your other car?

Has there been a change of plans now that you have sold your other car? Yeah mate the new tank will be a superstock when it's completed. I toyed with the idea of making it a stockcar because I can be a bit impatient, with the option of a Stockcar meaning reduced cost I could have hit the track sooner,.. And all I want to do is play, I was having second thoughts because it looks to me the Superstocks dont like to play. Though I have no delusions of grandeur with the car,I don't intend to spend moon beams on it. It's a tank & I intend to use it like one. Now I just need the bits to make it go ... The Chassis is all done. Bill is just waiting on me for the $$$ Bits.

He did ask me not to publish pictures of the construction stages of the car. I have a couple of it with the chassis almost complete with the new body in place. I'll get back to you on this.

At the risk of upsetting the tank purists, the Peat tanks have always been my favourites. I can recall seeing stienys BP tank with its clothes off at rinsos. I could not believe how much folded plate was used to gain strength. When seeing the KP tank that bundy now has at Waikaraka Park getting the guts ripped out of it my thoughts were - man thats just really an adaptation of a flat chassis (bit simplistic view I will agree but the KP and the BP tanks are totally different design concepts. I will try and dig out some photos of the KP one with its clothes off later tonight.

can anyone add the pictures of the new bill peat tanks that have appeared this year? I think the pop bodied beast is awesome, and if there is a chance to see the little nissan on board as well it would be great. Be interested to see how another motor variation goes in the stockcar class in advance.
cheers
