Not going to the NZ champs in Blenheim on Jan 10th. The NZCTRA Fender Bender/Streetstock Title is once again coming up for grabs. When & where; January 10th 7pm start Ferndene Speedway, Egmont Village, Taranaki. Now whats the guts; Simple, we are going to make this a annual event on the speedway racing calender, why? because we can, because we like racing, and because we want to see the average bod on the track doing what they like best, RACING. What do you need? A green sheeted streetstock or fender bender. If your car hasn't been green sheeted we will do that on the night under CTRA specs. A CTRA full license, cheep at $65 for the season which also includes club membership and you will also receive a CTRA log book which you will need to use (no CTRA log book no race) Again this year we are dropping the 3 meeting rule to qualify for a national title. So there you go, you're in and racing. Need somewhere to stay? you can camp at the track if you like or we have been able to score a deal with a local hotel at $35 a night with ample room for parking cars etc. Next you need an entry form which can be printed from our web site www.jokana.orconhosting.net.nz/page7.htmlContact numbers for us if you need further info are also on the web site See you there

Now tell me is there anything wrong with promoting a meeting and making sure as many people as possible get to know about it. People like to RACE and have FUN, people like to watch other people having FUN RACING elmo why are you trying to stop people from having fun by making statements like this one that you made in the last thread, ""just be careful there mr curren .from what i understand nz can suspend your licence if you race at a non snz sanctioned track "" May I sugest you perhaps consult the SNZ rule book before making such brash statements

Elmo must be a member of the fun police, seriously though he is doing you a favour as it keeps you on the FRONT PAGE for longer and if enough people read it they may get the message that FERNDENE IS about SPEED,FUN and SAFETY without any CRAP,keep up the good work.

Sorry it had to come to this trucker but cant help myself mate, what was that you said and trying hard to remember what I had in mind, oh yeah, Stuff you mate, I am proud to admit that I suffer from alsymers and am proud to back um , um those cars with the blue oval, yeah FORD, thats the one, the cars that keep winning in the Aussie V8 touring cars all the time. I made suffer from from brain fades from time to time but one thing I can be really proud of is that in my moments of brain fades I have NEVER lowered my standards enough to back those girl thingy powered puss buckets with the brand name Holden. And I freely admit to stuffed if I remember what, oh yeah, owning more than one Ford including what could possibly be the no1 Fender/Streety in the country Bugger after that I might as well dig a hole and bury the bloody thing now, either that or I give it a new paint job with bloody big bullseyes all over it as I do believe the car has now become a target slash trouble magnet. OHHH stuff it does anyone have a shovel that I can borrow or better still a pre dug hole I can use ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D for the aftermath of dead and dying Holdens to be put at rest in ;D

I thought about asking the Quarry guys to dig you a hole at the track so we could bury it properly, and get Animal to make a headstone for it,then I decided if your alzheimers is that bad that you cant remember what you have posted a few days ago,if you do manage to remember to turn up with your car,it will most likely be on the wrong day and you wont remember what you came for anyway. But just in case you do get it right and arrive on the day ,I have to get Cameron Hurley to make some signs for work so I will order a BIG BULLSEYE for each side of your car,its the least I can do to help.!!!!!!

Trucker I like your sense of humor, its enough to have me wetting my pants, bugger forgot to put some on. Make sure you clearly mark that hole, I would hate to fall in it as I would most likely have forgotten to put my glasses on too ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Re the deterioration of your alzheimers, saw you heading for the track the other day,tow vehicle all nice and tidy[FOR A FORD] nice tidy trailer behind, small detail to remember in future,PUT THE BLOODY RACE CAR ON THE BACK,it might help you remember what you are up to at this rate on race day I will have to install your GPS into the race car just to get you round the track in the right direction.

Trucker, in regards to the empty trailer, there was a dam good reason for driving round with an empty trailer. I lost the bloody car, went out to my shed and it wasn't there no more but as luck would have it I found it at work sporting a new front end, so it was just as well I had the empty trailer with me to bring it home ;D ;D ;D. So pleased to announce the the car will be putting in an appearance for the NZCTRA champs all spruced up and looking reasonably straight but unfortunately piloted again by the Former Old Retarded Driver ;D ;D ;D. And don't worry about the GPS mate, I already have that one sorted, have had left hand arrows imprinted on my glasses so I know which way to turn, I just need to remember where the bloody hell I put them.

Cheers for that Trucker, its been a hard road getting the old girl ready for racing, was pretty bent after last season, alot more bent than I had first thought so dont know how well it will handle but will find out on New Years day. Its gonna be good to be back on the track again rather than working behind the scenes and having to deal with itchy feet ;D ;D. 2nz wasn't good enough last time, am determined to have 1nz on the car before it gets buried. And on that note folks theres only a few days to have your entry forms in , but then again show up on the night with an entry form filled out will do, or just rock on in, we aren't too fussy with those rules, different story with the safety side tho.

hey all you streetstockers, if you are interested in racing for the ctra new zealand title, it would be great to see you at the Pace engineering ferndene speedway on the 10th of Jan, entries are starting to flow in, but we would really like to see even more. If you want further info don't hesitate to contact one of our committee, names and phone numbers posted on the ferndene web site, (see macgors links). We can organise very inexpensive accommodations if required, just let us know. Look forward to seeing you here, cheers poppa pres of Ferndene speedway club.

Yes total cost to enter is $65 for a full season license and club membership if you don't already have one
Trucker, this isn't my second childhood mate, I just never grew out of the first one and loving every minute of it Well had the car out for a play on new years day, am pretty happy with it, its not 100% but close enough, even had a play with one of the stockies (Glen 269s) who I must say showed some remarkable restraint on the no contact side even tho I couldn't ;D was quite an awesome battle there for a while, cheers dude. 1 week to go people, who's going to take the NZ1 spot, be there to find out

lol yea was a bit of a laugh,no contact on your part??, did you hit me???, if you did i must have thought it was the rough track, jeez turn 1 was rough, i'm sure my back wheels came off the track a few times, R/R shock is stuffed coz of it, hope they fix that up soon, yep was a good battle there for a bit till i spun it up lol, i reckon a taller diff is needed at Ferndene in the stockcar, the old 4.3 diff runs out of legs, need a 4.1 to get a bit more speed down the straight, so what other classes will be running, we are keen to come back for a skid
