I've been thinking, although some may say dreaming but who's going to race for who at the Palmy teams champs.
We all have our favourite teams, drivers and opinions of who should and shouldn't race for that team.
Me, I'm totally biased and don't listen to a bad word about the Tigers so was thinking. Nelson has a great pool of talent with the drivers they have contracted there this year and now we have a few old faces back racing.
If these "old boys' do well at the NZ's and SI's will they be considered (if they want to) to teams race for the Tigers.
The driver's I'm talking about are:
Nick Fowler, ex Nelson Tiger and Viper, ex podium finisher at the 240's and ex South Island champ. If given the go ahead by Craig would be a great addition to the team.
Daryl Peterson, ex winning Tiger, ex Viper, ex go to man if you wanted help to get someone. Daryl is currently racing Dale's number 2 car and has not lost his touch. I wonder if Dale has thought about using his new car to teams race and letting Daryl lose in the old girl.
The next one is from left field but, imagine if Blair Cunningham let lose the main man in his pit crew, Jason Moir with the tank. Jason can still peddle and the tank may be more suited to him now then any other chassis.
Just think of the Tigers turning up for Palmy with: Dale Ewers Brendon Higgins Daryl Peterson Jason Moir and Nick Fowler.
Let the feed back begin, time for a quiet one, maybe a good old Waikato!

The lineup Im interested to see will be the Waikato Wanderers. With Redfern gone after the Southern Trip, Wade taking a season off and Roigard slowly edging towards retirement we will get to see the next generation of racers take over the reigns. Plenty of talent coming through the Huntly ranks that should keep the Wanderers at the pointy end of the pack.

Now off course, the big question around here is, Will Scotty Miers have the Tank rolling in time, our will the spacey be used ? Cheers Bazza

Due to injuries from teams racing unfortunately you wont see Jason Moir race again I managed to catch up with Jason over the long weekend when Nelson had their 40th celebrations and we were discussing about the races he has done in the last 12 months so Marty he has been racing again. We never spoke about teams racing but you never no! Just wondering when was the last time you spoke to him Marty? A few years ago...he was ruled out of teams racing permantly then. Of course it would be great to see him back Moir and Higgens worked of each other like clockwork,\.

If not may be there is a spot for him?Lance Ashton may be there?Tony Wooton if he can get a superstock? Cheers

Yes though thats not teams racing, though if he medically can teams race again would be awesome, Moir and Higgens are one of the best combos in a team they worked so well off each other

Thanks Marcus, the health has been very dodgy, to say the least !
So another season off from racing Marty....huh !
Marty, i have never fallen asleep at my gate pal !
I missed a couple off the last meetings, due to health issues, but will be back for the Saloons on Monday night.
Hopefully Scotty will have his Tank running at this meeting as well.
Cheers Bazza

Well. we are all bit a week closer to Teams Champs, any more advancement on Team Squads for the weekend. To young Master Decke, be bloody good to see Mark teams racing again, thats his natural style...win at all costs, car & body on the line !
