The info provided above is at the sole discretion of Gisborne Speedway, which reflects their efforts to inform punters, and this is one that appreciates it! Providing the full data sheets allows those interested to work out who passed who and when, when a DNF occured, etc. Those that find it too deep can stick to the pictures! GISBORNE POINTS as per the dedicated DHL site: www.dhlspeedweek.co.nz/index.html48A Phil Towgood - - - - - - 48 21H Steve Williams - - - - - - 46 112R Nigel Ross - - - - - - 44 74A Scott Landsdowne - - - - - - 43 9A Steve Louden - - - - - - 40 96D Mark Newall - - - - - - 40 59A Bryan Skelton - - - - - - 34 2NZ Dave McCallion - - - - - - 33 63H Nige Mouat - - - - - - 32 45M Paul Cressy - - - - - - 30 77K Ross Cresswell - - - - - - 26 4S Ash Cook - - - - - - 15 10H Bryce Louden - - - - - - 15 92B Steve Martin - - - - - - 15 94D Tony Williamson - - - - - - 10 112R Mel Hills - - - - - - 8

Dont think you will get types of results from other rounds as wouldnt think there are to many clubs with personal with the abilitys to do it. We at Gizzy do have a wiz who can do all that. Anyway for those who want a breif outline of the meeting; Great racing , great track (as you expect at Gizzy). Towgood to good on the night. Race of the night first of the Dash races with Landsdowne holding out Williams lap after lap,, side by side had the huge crowd pumping. In the final Williams and Landsdowne got hooked up and the resulting freight train had Hills and Bryce Louden come togetrher and into the wall hard. Later in race Cressy spun up losing his front bumper to Skelton. Steve louden made his way to third and pressured Williams for last 5 laps trying toget 2nd with owgood a good 1/4 track ahead. For those who asked Williamson put stg rod through sump in second Dash. Not sure reason why Bryce louden put to back of field missed that one. Nigel Ross top points after opening two heats but found it hard to pass as night went on where steve louden got better as the night went on. Huge ups from the Dunedin boys on the big banked track with Newall already eyeing up a return trip here next season, blown away by the track. MJcCallion steady all night while Martin , Hills and Cook will need to improve if they are going to threatin in up coming rounds. Towgood just togood (pardon the pun) on the night. Gizzy is though one of his favourite tracks. Hope this helps.

A frustrating start to the DHL Saloon Series which has had as a benchmark in the past, very few yellows, and or contact damage. Clearly, as predicted, an awesome spectacle from the stands!
