So far as I know we don't, couple weekends ago was about now when racing finished. Track is rural, but I live in the city limits and can hear the cars from my place, but the noise isn't enough to annoy people that don't like hearing cars. Will be there watching tomorrow though, sounds like it was good night tonight too

I've just had to leave the track (family....) at the completion ofthe second round - and the time was 10:30...... so there is a whole load of racing to be done. Lots of action as mentioned in earlier posts - lots of if due to the first turn push which was the case with 34p - he did a perfect 360 on top of the wall taking out just the 1 wire post before returning to the track and off he went !!! With the whole wire fence now limp, they had to stop the meeting and sort it out - hence the 20 odd minute stopage. The last two group races in particular have had to deal with a drying out and rutting up track which will no doubt get worse through the third round. Simply a case of not enough moisture deep in the surface (we've had stinking hot days all week) Oh, Dale Robertson is out of it too - was circulating slowly looking for someone with a flat right front. One chap from Gisborne in a real old stocky, and I mean really old had a nasty barrell roll at the start/finish line - went over at least 3 times at lightning speed - looked nasty but he did walk away eventually. It was a darn good meeting. Wish I was still there...

The old stocky that barrel rolled sounds like Dave Warner. (85g) Was sitting behind a shed with grass and shrubs growing through it at the start of the season. Dave and co got it on the track in a month ( 4 weeks) Has been making steady progress since. Is about 30yrs old?
